Looking for lightweight 235/40/18 tires for Southern Cali driving. Mostly dry but would like great wet handling as well.

If you are looking for a cheaper option I've heard good things about the Kumho ECSTA ASX, only $113 a piece at tirerack. I'm thinking of picking them up next month. I'll give you a review if you still haven't made a purchase.

I've got the Kumho Ecsta MX - a little more performance oriented than the ASX with more aggressive tread pattern. Great dry handling with decent wet. Also a bit more pricer than ASX.

Most 235-40-18 weigh about 24lbs. Very few at 23 and some at 25 (Dunlops).

It must be nice in GA never much having to worry about snow! Those tires would be my choice if I was in the same situation!
