future Q5/SQ5 owner - repair cost differences?

    Hello,
I've been away from my B6 S4 for less than a year and am dying to get back into an Audi again. I've tried so hard to stay away and drive something cheaper and more practical. I'm a man of modest needs and have tried to love my new CR-V but its never going to happen. I need utility and performance and I'll be looking for either a tuned Q5 Sline with sport seats and paddle shifters or an SQ5. I've found the SQ5 will cost me approx $30/month more in fuel costs and only $15/month more for insurance. But I need the forum's owners' experience and insight into any advice you can provide to me in how much more annual maintenance costs are for the SQ5 versus the Q5. I'm 99% convinced I'm a future SQ5 owner and am actually just seeking rhetorical justification, a 'reverse explanation' so to speak. I'd like to explain to my son that I at least checked with a panel of experts and this is approximately how much more I can expect to spend on annual maintenance on my SQ5 over the Q5. I've owned and loved a 4000QS, an Urs6, and a B6 S4 so I know the perils of repairs. But I am coming back because I miss them too much. Thanks in advance for your help and time.

If you get a 3.0T Q5 maintenance and fuel cost will be the same, the same car - not exactly (SQ5 owners do no kill me for saying it:):):) ) but the same drive train, etc.

yeah, sorry, should have stated I"m ONLY considering a 3.0T Q5, only......Edmunds and KBB website tools of 'true cost of ownership' show almost no difference in ownership costs for repairs !

This! Maybe the front brakes will cost a few extra to replace otherwise no concern.

Yeah maintenance costs will the be the same for both, but I didn't realize the insurance was that much of a difference between the Q5 and SQ5. It's kind of ridiculous really.

Just about to say that. Rear brakes are all the same, but front's are very pricey on the SQ5. Rotors are $200+ each and pads were not cheap either.
