What are the square cutouts in front bumper?

It seems to be a German thing and no other car I've ever had has had them so I'm curious what they are?
Aside from them being hideous, when I was waxing my car the other day I pushed too hard and now part of it is sunken in.
Audi gives absolutely zero access behind the front bumper so how do I go about getting it flush again? I feel like if I push it farther I'm going to lose it or Break It.
I also can never get the pile of leaves out of my grill left over from fall because Audi gives you no access behind the bumper.
anyone have an easy way for that as well?

It's for the headlight washers and the single one in the middle is the tow hook.

Have you considered removing the plastic skid plate/belly pan under the engine? Only held on my a few screws. Should give you better access to the area behind the grille.

I've had some luck with a thin, flexible putty knife. Cheap from place like Home Depot and it worked for me where many other tools failed.

I think you pushed the tow hook cover. If you push the top left corner you can remove it and re-install it. I've done it many times installing/removing my tow hook license plate holder.

If you pushed the square ones beneath your headlight simply have a pal engage the wipers with fluid while you snag it before it closes.

The directions are in the owner's manual of how to remove and install the tow hook. You can't move the headlight washers as they are melted in place if you don't have the actual washer option.
