    2012 A7 Build Ideas

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I've had my A7 for a few months now and I love the car. Everything was going great until I joined a car club that is mostly full of Mustangs, Camaros, Chargers, and Challengers. One incident involved me flooring the gas pedal, and this Charger Scatpack flew by me like it was nothing. I want to boost the performance of my car to atleast be able to keep up with some of the cars, especially on track days. I've plans of doing an EPL Stage 2 Tune and cold cair intake, but outside of that, I'm not sure what else to do to increase horsepower and torque. I'm just hoping for some assistance for a possible build over the next year.

Unfortunately after stage 2 dual pulley there isn't much room for improvement out of this engine. You could talk with p3u as his A6 is probably one one of the fastest 3.0T's I've seen on this form but after that you'd really want a 4.0T if you're trying to compete with those types of cars.

Nice, same here. I'm convinced it's the strongest tune for the 3.0t.

I picked up spare charger to port to see if it makes difference. Want to dyno it before then swap the charger to see the difference. Wish they would release TCU tune already haha. Do you have downpipes as well?

The ported charger shaves about .15 and adds 1.5mph trap. Plus it reduces heat soak. A very worth while mod.

TCU tune would be the bees knees. The girl has an 11.1 in her!

I'm on stock exhaust, but may get test pipes in the future.

Nice! I agree, with TCU this thing would be a blast! I have JHM downpipes currently. Really need to dyno it to see what its making.

I need to get moving on that porting now haha you got me excited.

I'm guessing I'm around 450whp for my setup considering the RS7 dynos at 495whp (according to APR's dyno) and runs 11.2 @122mph while weighing ~250lbs more than the A6.

Do it, awesome bang for your buck. Give Evan at Tampa Motorsports a shout.

If I wanted a Hot Rod, i'd have kept my Acura TL, gone out and bought an S5 Rx7 and LS swapped it. I just fell in love with the A7, and wanted a family car that could get up when I needed it to.

I don't think so, I enjoy the people, and their cars.

Yea I do eventually plan on trading up for an S7, but I'll be in this for the next couple years. I was pretty happy with my A7 til I started hanging around the muscle car people. My car is still sexier, I just want more power now.
