Ride quality is fine for me but I agree with Tar. 20x10 is pretty aggressive and you'll have to run 255 or 265 tires unless you are ok with stretch. I personally don't like stretch at all. I have 20x9.5 ET 37 and was running 255 Michelin PSS. They were too stretched for my taste, only lasted about 12K miles because of bad alignment. Had some rubbing originally but it was fairly easy to cure with a fender roll in the front. Had to replace one of the 255 PSS very early on, pulling into my driveway and there was a loose broken piece of concrete left there by some contractors and it pinched the stretched sidewall against the rim and I had to replace it after about 200 miles. I love the wheel (Voresteiner VFF102) and since I hated the stretch I went to a 265 PS4S. Looks sooooooo much better and I feel way less anxiety when driving worrying about the stretched tires hitting something. Now I have a pretty bad rub in the rear, almost rubbed constantly while driving. Went to raise the car up and found the KWV3 springs had sagged so badly that I had no adjustment left. Had to replace them with Avant springs, now I can drive but still rub pretty bad in the rear on corners and bumps. Getting ready to install stiffer sways for the corners and possibly pull the fenders a tiny bit. No issues up front.
If I had to drive long distances, I would definitely have to look into a slightly higher offset wheel and/or go back to a 19" wheel. If I were to put together an ideal spec for a long distance DD, IMO it would be......
19x9 ET 40, 255 tire. I would range between 19x9 to 19x9.5 ET 42-37, 255, maybe 265 tire. It would also depend on the tire brand, some have a more full shoulder.
Hope this helps, I've gone through a considerable amount of "pain" to find all of this out even after reading for hours on these forums. Hahahaha. Still fun stuff though. Expensive though too.
