No quick pic for a tease?! Any rub yet? What are you running for drop on your HAS? Your camber at this height? Still thinking et38 for emd springs... but maybe wuss'n out. My camber F/R is -1.6/-1.15.

Thanks again for your contribution to the platform!!

Here is a shitty cell phone pic. Zero rub all around and I'm maxed out in the rear with a slight rake in the front. I don't have measurements at the moment but lower than EMD. Camber F/R is -1.3/-1.2.

I would trust BC's judgement and stick with et35 on this setup. It's perfect

Alright, finally got around to taking some photos. The fitment on these are right on the money. I highly suggest anyone going with a 19" BCF to run these specs.

    Enjoy :)

I love them. They were one of the few mods that I wasn't sure what to expect since I hadn't done a BBK before. After a few drives I instantly understood why people do it.

The pedal feel is perfect for daily driving with enough bite to confidently stop quickly without smashing the pedal to the floor or throwing passengers to the windshield. They never fade even after multiple hard braking sessions and actually grab even better when warmed up. I highly recommend if you can afford them.

A few perks, they have all sorts of pad options from mild to wild and most of the time calipers can be kept and transferred to other cars at the expense of new brackets and rotor hats. Pretty sweet

If that's zero rub, you def found the 265/35 limit!! With reasonable camber!

Last photo set before the winter wheels are back on! Really happy with how these turned out. It gives a much better representation of how the color looks in the shade.

The biggest reason was to shed weight. I've been doing a lot of drag racing lately and wanted a thicker sidewall tire with less rotational mass. 20s looked awesome and I actually hooked really well with that setup but I gained 2-3mph on my trap speed by dropping down to lightweight 19s

BPF High Pressure Fuel Pump secured!!

Officially starting the fuel system journey with the BPF high pressure fuel pump. A big thanks to Open Road Tuning for stocking these bad boys. They can be purchased below (I have no affiliation).

    https://ortmotorsport.com/products/b...bb4da620&_ss=r

I was going to document the install but I had quite the crowd over when I put it on and didn't break out the camera.

    A few notes:

Disconnect the negative terminal in the trunk. If the battery is connected and the door opens the fuel system will prime and it will not be fun. I let my car sit for a few hours with the hood already opened. When I cracked the lines loose no fuel came out. I have also installed right after driving the car and you will want to have a rag handy, a good amount of fuel will spray out.

Unlock and remove both fuel sensors, one on the pump, one directly under it.
When uninstalling the stock pump, loosen both feed lines first so they are completely free. Then move onto the 2 triple squares holding the pump in place. Once the 2 triple squares are completely removed you will need a flathead or strong shim to lightly yet forcefully pry the pump out of the block. MAKE SURE to work both sides so the pump stays as level as possible. It will require some effort to pull the feed lines out of the way so you can completely remove the pump so don't be afraid to use a little effort.

Once the pump is removed, its a good idea to check the cam follower to ensure there isn't excessive scoring on the roller. At 50k miles mine looked sufficient so I did not replace it but if it has scoring it's best to replace. (Cam Follower PN: 06M-109-311-B)

When installing the new pump, do the reverse. Pump in, I suggest starting with the rear feed line and get that about half way screwed on then move to the front and do the same. Next, tighten down the 2 triple squares about half way, again a little on each so the pump stays flat. Then back to the feed lines and tighten both all the way but make sure not to go too tight. They are brass fittings and will strip very easily. Get them snug but do not crank on them. Lastly tighten the pump the remainder of the way. I don't have torque spends but I just gave it a good crank down.

Check for leaks and/or any excessive clicking/tapping noises. When my VIS pump failed on start up it was incredibly loud. The BPF should sound just like stock. Let the car idle for 5-10 mins with no revs then you're good to go.

I started logging with EPL today so hopefully we see good progress soon to share.

In the mean time, a few product photos:

Thanks guys! I believe EPL plans to offer full E support for stock turbo with this hpfp. I dont think we'll see full E with hybrid turbos without additional fuel system upgrades. The demand is much greater as boost increases so from what I've seen so far you would need to turn boost way down for full E. And what fun is that haha!

Thanks for the info, and that was my concern, being limited to the volume the hpfp can put out. I was hoping I could add an inline pump but if the hpfp can't flow the 30% more at any level than there's no need. I ordered that pump last night anyway lol

It's been a while since I've updated this but not a whole lot going on with the car. This time of year is crazy busy for me so I don't get much free time to do much else.

One small change has happened though and I'm quite pleased with the results.

    Raceseng Tow Hook

Being completely honest I was never a big fan of all the tow hooks on the market. The style just never did it for me and they seemed to protrude too far out of the bumper for my taste. Then I discovered Raceseng. They make some pretty wild products but the tow hook really caught my eye. The design is simplistic yet unique being nonsymmetrical. The quality is top notch and I figured why not give it a shot.

This is their Gray Tug Hook with the 371615 Tug Shaft (lol). This is meant for an MK7 Golf R but after a little research and test fit, it perfect for the B9's.

To spice things up a little more, I wasn't a fan of the big open hole when you remove the tow hook cover from the bumper so I bought a spare and drilled it out so the shaft fits right through the middle of it. I started with a 1/4" drill bit, then went to 1/2" and finished it off with a step bit which took it just above 1". It's a very small detail but I think it perfects the look entirely.

    A few photos:

That looks really nice hanging there and drilling a cover is brilliant. It makes all the difference. Well done, sir.

    A farewell...

After nearly four years the time has come to part ways with my S4. I've toyed with the idea of selling the car quite a few times but I could never get myself to do it. Well, this time it is officially set in stone. The journey has been amazing and this is without a doubt the most special car I’ve owned. In my mind, it was truly setup as the perfect balance of everything you could want out of a B9. So, what was the next logical thing to do..? Tear it all apart lol.

Since I’ve established so many relationships with a lot of people around here, I’ll still poke around from time to time but sadly my next car does not have four rings. It’s going to be weird not opening Audizine every morning before logging in to work. I will share a link to the new build thread once I have it up in case anyone wants to follow along.

    Until next time AZ
