It really took away the look from the rear end. I usually keep up with cleaning and polishing them but after so long the "stainless" just peals off and they get ruined.

I may part ways with the Road+ mufflers if you'd want to go that route. And you can get polished ovals from Milltek. Just need to cut off your stock mufflers and weld these in.

Thanks man, I totally agree. I've been eyeing them for a while that's why I never went with a full exhaust. I wanted something that was really unique but not over the top. I'm completely sold on it now haha

I really want to keep the valved mufflers.. otherwise id probably go that route honestly. Just cant see spending $2800 for an exhaust to have the tips look pretty.. They are significantly better now than they were before. I may hit them again and sand/polish and then do a layer of clearcoat or something over them for the extra protection. Not sure what I want to do yet

I couldn't justify that much for a full exhaust either. Especially since I didn't want it any louder and my neighbors hating me more lol. All said and done this setup only ran me ~$500

You can indeed. I don't think the RS oval tips that I'm running will work with the S4 Milltek system though (if that's what you're wondering). But yes you can just purchase tips.

Thank you! I really like it. It's much more low profile than my previous box. I debated getting custom brackets so I could hang it off the back more and just use the rear bar and suction cups but I haven't found any that aren't way over priced.

I still need a few snaps out in the wild but 5 min after this pic the car was covered in salt and slush lol.

Is that the OEM Audi roof rails? I've heard mixed reviews, one of my friends complained about how it would create a lot of road noise while on the highway and it isn't as solid? Whats been your experience?

I'm running Thule aeroblades! They are reasonably quiet compared to other bars that I've used in the past. Unfortunately no matter what roof rack you go with, wind noise will be present above ~70mph. I've had no issues with them through the entire life of the car, they're rock solid.

Well this spring is going to be a fun one!

    My TTE710 has arrived!

It has been on my radar for a little while now and with the recent HPFP progress now seemed like a great time to pick one up. My goal is to have a E40 or full E85 EPL tuned TTE710 running 10s reliably. I've research how TTE has performed on a variety of other Audi/VW platforms and they seem to be right up my alley. I wanted to maintain as much low end torque as possible while still being able to push 550+hp. The TTE510 just didn't seem worth the money give how fast I've gone on the stock turbo.

If anyone is looking for a TTE, reach out to Miranda or Mops at Nemesis. Most don't know but they are a dealer and can source them directly!

    Install:
I'm currently collecting a few other parts before I install this. 1. I still plan to dyno the car on the stock turbo and E40. I believe I have a date set for the first or second weekend in March. After that, I need the 66mm flange for the inlet and I would like to see how the HPFP's pan out too. It will likely go in late March or early April.

    Hi Brock,

Any chance you can list all the parts that are needed alongside the turbo for it to work, I see you mentioned the 66mm flange for the Inlet, any other items?

Can't wait to see what you push once this bad boy goes in.

Intercooler, 66mm flange and a 91-93 octane tune that supports it is really all you need. I would recommended running catless downpipe but some HFC might be ok. There's a risk of damaging the cat though since it's so close which has happened before to a few people.

Nothing really else is "required". If you want to run ethanol you'll need an upgraded high pressure fuel pump which is in the works but we don't have any data on that yet so everyone is on pump gas.

Some will recommend meth to keep things cool but this is my daily and I won't be pushing it to the absolute max so I'm going without.

Wow! This thing is going to be a beast!! I've been trying to research the 510 and haven't come up with much. I just don't want to lose low-end power.

The 710 is going to be awesome man. Can't wait for your results, Brock!

Sorry I meant for the actual turbo install it self. Like physically. You mentioned the flange...any other hardware that's needed to make the turbo fit?

I'm in the same boat. From what I've heard is that it's very reasonable though it comes on a little later. The TTE510 isn't worth the money in my opinion. Especially considering how fast I've gone on the stock turbo. The 510 wont feel much different.

Oh gotcha. Nothing additional needed. It is completely plug and play without modification. It's recommended to replace the gaskets, nuts and clamps which I can compile part #'s for when I get ready to install

“Ski trip”. In Michigan.... Hee hee.... Sorry, couldn’t help myself, but that little hill looks so cute. :D. But seriously, your car looks really nice- love those wheels and the stance.

For reference, this is a road I took the Jeep on last weekend for a picnic on top of a local peak at only a little over 9k feet.

Haha working with what I can! I usually take trips out west every year but with COVID that has been put on a halt. Michigan is the best I can do within reasonable driving distance at the moment. Hit it on a good day with fresh snowfall and it's still a great time.

Looks like a fun day yourself

I’m from OH, so I’m aloud to make fun of the Midworst. :)

But that first pic you took really got me- that could be at Snow Basin where we had our kids in lessons last year, or at Tahoe. It just looks really cool.

This is one of the obstacles close to where we were after the picnic. This also explains one of the reasons I don’t modify the S4; making a Jeep really capable is STUPID expensive.

Just had a quick chat with guy on TTE510 turbo, he is doing consistent 10.9s in 1/4m and 3.0s 0-60. Also he says that response is almost the same as stock, no turbo lag at all.
I suppose if you want to keep the stock feel, it is completely OK to go with TTE510.

I suppose if you want to keep the stock feel, it is completely OK to go with TTE510.
What tune and fuel this guy running? Those are end goal numbers for my build. Hopefully that didn’t require meth, I don’t feel like dealing with that.

94 octane fuel or 100 if you are from Europe.
ECU and TCU tunes are completely custom.

Wow that looks like a blast! I miss Jeep'n. I had a wrangler unlimited build myself back in the day. Didn't do a whole lot of rock crawling, a few off road parks near me and Silver Lake sand dunes a time or two. All good fun until you have to pressure wash the whole thing hahah.

The only pictures I have left of it:

Sure. Here is the IG link: https://www.instagram.com/p/CHrwCUgpLol/
This was one of the first tries, when tires were slipping, so times a bit slower than the best ones now.
Also on the last photo, you can check gains with TCU tune.

Very cool! I actually had to leave my YJ at the Silver Lake Dunes WAY back in the day when I lived in MI (and actually was working for Chrysler at the time). And you couldn’t be more correct, I avoid mud like the plague since it takes 2 weeks to clean it off. I think my YJ still had mud in certain crevices from Moab from when I was in Grad School.

But again, you see one of the reasons why I don’t modify the S4, since the Jeep is $$$$ to make “better” off road. (I’m not even going to mention the motorcycles...). It does come in handy- just this morning helped a lady who spun it into a ditch with her crossover thing.

I’ll stop hijacking your thread now... :)
