The guide that james12lucy posted above is top notch. Fuel injector section starts on page 28. Many of the bolts are different sizes so consider making an organizer for each step like the one shown here. It will make it easy when it comes time to put everything back together.

Bumping thread as I have to swap injectors to a new head.
    First,
Do you all ever send injectors out for cleaning?
I normally would on other DI engines.
    2nd
    Do you normally replace seals/orings?
On other DI the bottom head to injectors seal must be replaced. These injectors are different but assume that seal also needs to be replaced?

Anyone have pn? I can probably look up as think it is one of these:

You can by the injector seals and retainers as a kit rather than as separate parts from Europaparts or ECS

i had spoken to this place -- http://www.mrinjector.us/price-list.html -- about having my injectors cleaned. Ended up not sending them out but his price seemed fair and offered to replace the seals as part of the service, but if you google gdi injector cleaning there are more.

You could try sourcing each component individually but otherwise for ease I would suggest an injector repair kit with all the seals and compression collar (audi/vw part number 06D 998 907). Ecs or other sites would likely have the best deal tho i ended up sourcing them thru a local vw dealer.

The top is fairly basic with a small spacer collar and oring, but the white combustion seal at the injector tip requires some special steps. There are several videos on youtube showing the process.
