Fits fine with just the bars on. Don't try it with bikes on though. ;)

    Or Thule box.

I think I need to do an overheight door on my next house just so I can be lazy and not have to take it off to park.

Idk I was thinking they are like 8" tall.... now standing here looking at some of them they are like 2-3" and the roof slants towards the back. Kinda of a dumb question. I was going to erase this post.

The car is 65" tall and the base Audi factory bars add another 5" or so. Factor in what box or bike rack you decide to go with. If you need a lower base bar most people opt for the Thule Aero kit.

Thanks guys, I think I知 going to end up with a 2015 Q5 s-line 3.0t ... already has a rack (never been installed). Think I知 taking my vagcom/ laptop with me and if I buy it, I知 going to turn the gauge sweep on in the parking lot.
