S6 exhaust options??

I just got my S6 and I'm looking to change the stock exhaust. Whether that's by just changing mufflers or getting a catback I'm not sure. All I know is I want mroe of the v8 sound. Any recommendations would be great! Its my understanding I could also use any exhaust system made for the rs6, but most likely some kind of reducer would be needed due to the differences in size of the piping. Having owned a RS6 with the SE exhaust, I don't think that would be the route I would go. It seems like off the shelf stuff isn't really an option for the S6 unless I just cant find it, but milltek and a few other companies have options for the RS6 so if I could just use on of those systems I'm ok with that too. I'm not looking for any real power increases as they would be neglibible, I just want to sound so if someone has a muffler recommendation that would be great too! Keep in mind I don't want anything insanely loud or droning as its my daily driver and the kids will be in the car every day. Thanks!!

Check out he thread a few down from here, all of the A6, Allroad, and RS6 exhausts fit.
Take a look at those and/or the sytems from Magnaflow, SuperSprint and BillyBoat (APR), Milltek is supposedly nice also, but I'm not sure they sell them anymore new.
I personally haven't heard any others, as mine is the only local S6 that I've heard and it's totally stock. I'd love to hear some in person to see what sounds nicer w/o being too loud to take the family on a road trip.

My apologies, I assumed the 2.7t might have different systems due to orientation of engine/downpipes. I guess all catback it must be the same if you are referencing that thread. I did find supersprint and milltek. Didn't have luck at billyboat but Ill take a look again. If 2.7t catbacks are available the opens up more options for sure.

Not sure where you're located county-wise or if you have to deal with emissions (either legally or ethically!). But for starters you might consider just gutting the cats. That's what I did on one of my old S6's and the result is just 100% straight muscle car growl. Whisper quiet as usual until you get on it, then the ROAR kicks in. The upside is it's more or less free and if you don't like it you're not out anything. Easiest way is just jack it up, angle grinder a big flap in the bottom of the cat, empty it out and weld it shut. And if you have a 'visual' inspection it'll pass.
I have an emissions delete file for the BBD if you need it..

But seriously, gut the cats is an amazing sound on the V8. Deleting mufflers if for little bitchy hondas. Might as well clamp a cherry bomb on the back, it just gets you moar noise ALL THE TIME.

My s6 came with gutted cats and it is great. I’m not pissing off the neighbors...well my neighbor who just traded his wrx in for an outback is jealous, it’s got a little bark. Oh, and it stinks. You also look like an awful parent when your three year old is playing in the “smoke”. So basically perfect for the price.
