Alcantara interior conversion

Finally completed the alcantara interior conversion. Chose alcantara's charcoal/anthracite color for the door cards and headliner. Was closet color to the OEM RS alcantara.

Door cards:
Plastic welded together. Was a bit of a pain to take apart but happy with the outcome. Love the way it looks against the RS4 carbon fiber trim.

Headliner:
Easy as pie to remove, only took my about an hour to get everything off on my own. DIFFICULT AS SHIT to reinstall. For those wondering, I went with foam backing on the actual headliner and no backing on the pillars so as to mirror the OEM application. The plastics on the pillars are brittle at this age and you should have some good epoxy on hand during the re install. I swapped all the plastics with S4 black plastics so it would flow better with the darker colored alcantara.

Nice! I plan on doing this along with the rolls Royce star light modification.

I thought about it and just tapping the rear dome lights but idk i dont think it would match my car's profile.

all alcantara was ordered through relicate leather. they are THE supplier for all things alcantara and napa and can match an OEM fabric with the OEM material. Not cheap.

been thinking about doing the TT flat bottom to match with a alcantara perforated combo but I just cant commit. I sorta enjoy a full leather wheel.

I did not. I had @sweidit on instagram take care of the alcantara and wrapping for me. He orders directly from Relicate leather. I only handled the removal and install.

I did this on my Avant last year. I will never do it again, hah. I noticed the upper B pillar trim is over the lower B pillar trim. I put mine back under but the fitment is way off.

You've made me think about maybe doing my door cards too....hmmm

door cards are equally a pain in the ass. not to remove and install but to lay fabric on. the door cars are plastic welded together. total pain in ass to take apart

i actually had @sweidit (look him up on instagram) do the alcantara work. I know he sources his leather and alcantara from relicate leather. should be able to get it from there.
