I have an S5 customer that has one and is quite well educated on them. I'll try and track him down and direct him here.

For sourcing, when I get mine, I'm going to use @Pelican Parts ... They helped me with my ESCO stands, and I was very pleased.

Just ordered one yesterday and it'll be here next Thursday. I ordered the 7000EXT. Measured the RS3 and it had plenty of gap between the tires to accompdate the EXT and went with the 7000 because I also have an old square body Suburban I'll be lifting with it.

The 5000 SXL should work for the RS3, right?

Yeah, that would be more than enough for the RS3. If you order direct from Quickjack they currently have a $100 off promo code, it's AUTO.

I have the BL-5000SLX which works great. I bought mine through Home Depot online - their price changes every few days and I got it for $1100. I don't use the rubber blocks, though - I had our SUV on it and one of the rubber blocks deformed and let the SUV fall off. It did some damage, but not bad. I'm just glad I wasn't under it. After that, I cut some 2"x6" boards to fit in the trays, stacked two high and screwed together - they're solid and don't move. Works great since that mod. I use pinch weld adapters for the TTRS and let them rest on the wood blocks in the Quickjack.

I planned on using my slotted rubber blocks for the RS3 in the pinch welds. Do you need to put the boards in it for that ?

The wood boards take up the space when the rubber blocks aren't used so the car isn't sitting on the quickjack rails. The rubber blocks will work by themselves - if you trust them. I won't use them anymore, although I'm sure plenty of people do.

Kadab that sounds super sketchy! I always use the 2" blocks with pretty much everything on my 7,000lb extended, even when lifting the truck, and I've never had a scare like that!

As for getting it under an RS3, should fit with no real issues I can get mine under a 996 without any real struggle

I have the 5000 quick jack. it's awesome. Has worked great on previous B7 Avant and works on my wife's current 2013 volvo s60 and of course my 2019 RS3. I highly recommend it

That's sucks the rubber blocks let your SUV slide off! I will still likely use the rubber blocks, but any recommendations on what we could put under our cars for extra added safety while using a QuikJack?

Costco had the 5000SLX for $999 last summer. Might come up on sale again.

I got the 5000 (work great)and I would suggest you call them and ask if they have any refub units I got what looked like a brand new setup for 799 shipped! They don't always have these but worth the call. To the topic of the blocks buy the block kits with all different sizes it also worth the money. I have used these on a few VAG cars and they all kind of needed different sizes. Lastly please follow all instructions even create a checklist and USE it even if you have used them a few times. Cuts down on mistakes that can be expensive.

The RS3 has special lift points on front and back. Can it be used for this?

Love mine. AZ is not letting me post pics but will post some of my RS3 on the quick jacks. I use the hard rubber blocks that they sell to put on the pinch welds. its a great easy way to get the car up in the air. I use mine a lot.

I ordered one from Costco - it should be here on Monday. Just in time to do the rear brakes on the GTI.

It's a little more money, but I've had the EZcarlift for about 10 years now. I would say that the biggest advantage it has over the QuickJack is that it lifts the vehicle vertically instead of in an arc motion. In a tight garage space, it's a PITA, especially when you need to have your garage door closed at night or when it's cold. I'm also not the biggest fan of hydraulic lifting systems for several reasons.

I've even put it in the trunk of my Mustang and used it at Willow Springs. It's also made in the US (Santa Barbara, CA) where the QuikJack is likely made in China, like other BendPak products.

Full disclosure: I now have a BendPak SP-7X (which is awesome because of the lift height). But I was pretty pissed when I received it and saw it was made in China and it cost that much.

I looked at these (Costco Uk) but for me they didn’t lift the car high enough so bought the Autolift 3000 instead

Love my quickjacks. Made my own hooks for the wall out of 1/2” steel and used lag bolts directly into the studs. Absolute must have if you don’t have room/clearance for proper hoist. I did my downpipe on the quickjacks.

Yes, that's where I position the quick jack blocks. The rubber blocks do not mangle the reinforced pinch welds.

Can you also cut a groove into the blocks to "accept" the pinch weld ?

There are already lines in it. You’re not really supposed to use blocks on pinch welds but they sink into the block about half way. I’ve had no issues doing it like that. Biggest reason I bought quickjacks is because RS3 doesn’t have good place to put the jack and then put jack stands in good spot.
