    Q5 20in peelers on a S4

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Tried to dig up the set up, not many people are running them, saw a few avant's with the set up. I kind of like the uniqueness and an OEM+ look of a 20in peelers.

Specs are 20x8.5 et33, would most likely paint/powder coat them gun metal or satin grey.

Tires could be 245/35/20 or 255/30/20 if they don't bulge too much. I'm on coils, on the lower side.

Anyone with this setup? This was my setup last summer on 19in OEM S4 peelers with spacers. If anyone has photo shop skills, if you can make these wheels to 20's would be awesome!

You will be fine with the 255/30 tires. I say go for it in oem silver finish.

I run a 20x9 et 35 with zero rub and similar ride height to you.

I’ve got a set of 20” q5 Le Mans wheels sat here ready to go on in exactly the same specs.

    I’m torn between 255/30/20 & 245/30/20

I’m on the lower side as well on v3’s, obviously the 245 is a safer bet fitment wise but there’s not enough side wall for my liking so I’m swaying towards the 255

Honestly, when I first read through the original post I was confused because I I thought the wheels in your photo were the 20" version. So for whatever it's worth, I think your current setup with 19" peelers and spacers looks on-point. At your ride height the wheels look to be correctly proportioned to the car's body. I wouldn't change a thing. Food for thought - when the wheels get bigger, the factory brakes look smaller.

thought you were on 20's. I did see a pic of 20" peelers somewhere in the wheel fitment thread

    Found it 255/30 wheels @ 40et

    Avant on 20's

I almost went with these in 20's which I thought looked bad ass, there was a set for sale a few weeks back if interested. My smart side said "not in New England" ;)

I've seen 20 in peeler setup pics, but they were the Hartman reps and not OEM. Fitment is probably different.

That b8 s4 pic above has far 2 much wheel gap what ever happened to suspension then wheels in that order.

I like my 20s but if I could trade them for 19s I would. 19s are perfect on b8s.

20" oem v-spokes. they came on the Q5/SQ5 with black optics, i believe - see http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...tanium-finish). certain RS5s also came with these wheels, but in a different offset with more concavity. some S4s also came with these wheels. and lastly, there are some S3s with a similar (but smaller diameter) version. in other words, this style came on a handful of audis.

FWIW, there is or was also a 5 spoke 20" summer tire package for the Q5. Don't know if that is what you are looking for. This is what came on mine.

thanks for the reply guys, that black avant photo is the only thing i've seen, lowered with 20in peelers (stock height 20's is just silly imo).

Going 20in OEM to me has a unique look if done right.
Sorry for the confusion, the OP photo's are 19 in stock peelers with spacers.

I'm a dumbass. I know exactly which wheel you're talking about. Looking at them head on, they looked a lot different than the angle of the pic you posted.

finally installed today, had to do some camber adjustments on the rear. Was at -2.0, tweaked to -2.6, fronts are at -2.1 ish
Tires are 245/35/20 Dunlop Sportmaxx TT
    Q5 OEM peelers 20x8.5 et33 no spacers.
H&R RSS clubsport coilovers (sags in the rear a bit, need avant springs)

I wanted a rub free setup, but prob get away with a 3mm spacers all around, or more with more neg camber.
I will paint or powder coat these gunmetal or some other darker color. Quick pic with my phone cam.

I'm pretty low so didn't want rubbing. I was rubbing on the rear with 20x10 et40 255/30/20 pretty badly. Also the load rating and comfort is much better with 35 wall.

Next is powder coating the wheels, torn between Gun metal gray and Chrome Black

I’ve had both 20x9 et35 Peeler replicas and 20x9 et35 V-spoke replicas on my S4, both with 245/35/20 tires on both with no rubbing, but had some stretch.

I love both on the car and think the 35 sidewall provides a better ride.

I love both so much that I recently bought a set of OEM 20x8.5 et40 Peelers and a set of OEM 20x8.5 et33 V-spokes that I’m going to fit with 255/35/20 summer tires.

I know I won’t have any rubbing as my current winter setup is OEM 20x8.5 wheels from my S6 with 255/35/20 tires and have no rubbing whatsoever. By the way, the S6 wheels are powder coated in “hyper black.” (Pics below.)

I’m going to powder coat the peelers either hyper black or metallic grey as well.

    Q5 20in peelers on a S4

Damn, all of your cars look amazing on the 20 inch peelers. What suspension are y’all running? Makes me hate living in NJ, roads are absolutely brutal this time of year.

H&R RSS clubsport. I need to raise the rear with avant springs, since they are on the highest setting right now and tucking. I need about 5mm spacers to flush it out. The 245/35/20 tires were spot on. Much more comfortable, and our Portland roads are shit too.

Lowered on H&R sport springs w/ stock shocks...light rubbing against fender liner at highway speeds over certain dips on overpass/bridges, when I have golf clubs and two adults in the rear. When the car is not loaded with extra weight doesn't rub at all at any speed.

How’s the ride on the stock components? Considering going that route once the roads are cleaned up a bit here in NJ.
