Great find! Looks stunning. Evolutionary for sure, but maintains everything I love about the clean lines of the C7 with just enough updates to move it forward. And the tech!? Whoa. My only regret is that the S6 loses the 4.0t. I'll have to hear/experience the new twin turbo 6 before passing judgement but this car with the 4.0t would have been a no-doubter for me. As it stands I may have to go with a CPO S8 and miss out on the new tech.

Rear lights are very ugly and what the hell Audi is thinking doing these fake exhausts? Its so cheap, like Kia already.
Overall (expect the rear lights and the fake exhaust) I think the car is improvement. From the interior everything is too much touch screen. I like more the new BMWs and Mercedes,s where the analog buttons have stayed.

I think this car is the best of what's new, but you're right. Wait till people see what a full time touch screen holds for them in the real world on even slightly bumpy roads.

Lol, you're going to push every button but the button you intended to push unless you take your eyes off the road for far too long, hovering over the button waiting for a smooth patch.

Looks great and very tech filled but it looks like they're going with the new efficient quattro type system found on the B9 A4/Q5 models. Rear axle de-coupled until it's needed to bump up economy. No more mechanical diff like on the C7 and past.

It is called Quattro Ultra. I have that in my 2018 Allroad, I can't tell the difference when it decouples. I know when it happens when the efficiency gauge goes green in virtual cockpit but I can not feel the difference. I had no problem with some tail happy sideways action during our last snow here a week ago either.

I think it looks great. The first thing I noticed was one less set of hood strakes- the new A5 has two sets and looks very busy. I like the door mounted side mirrors. I think the lights/front end/rear end all look good, though they did a poor job of hiding the radars for the cruise crontrol within the grill. Way too noticeable (I don’t like radar based cruise control anyway so hopefully this wouldn’t be an issue for me).
The fake exhaust tips. Horrible. We are talking 1990s Pontiac horrible. WTF are they thinking? At least it shouldn’t be an issue with the S and RS models.
And that brings me to the unfortunate loss of 2 cylinders and the single best thing about my current S6- the sound is just so glorious. Having heard some videos of the S6 on the Ring, it is so much worse with the TTV6. Even the best sounding V6 on the market (Maserati) doesn’t sound as good as an average V8, and can’t touch the S6 especially with aftermarket exhaust.
So now I guess when it’s time to move to the C8 in a couple years whether Audi brings the RS6 here, or offers the RS7 with a middle seat (we are a one car family so I need the occasional middle seat utility).

They are ruining these cars IMO, I like the hard aggressive lines of the previous models, this looks round and soft like the new A7. Don't like it one bit, they went the opposite direction I wanted and decided to make it more luxurious for families?, and most families are buying SUVs so I don't know why. Just really really glad I have my car and Im the worst with buyers remorse so this really really puts me at ease. The c7 just looks sooo much better to me.

I think it looks good after seeing the video. What I really don't like is the rear. That chrome piece from end to end at the back is hideous! Not a fan of the exhaust looks either and not too sure about how they went about doing the dual screen inside.

The interior of my S6 is so much better. I'm not a fan of fully electronic interiors, from 'virtual dashes' to fake (eletronic) shift levers, but understand it's where all cars are headed. Also DCTs are going away, as well as V8s, so this is probably going to be the last car I actually like (inside and out), and enjoy driving. Times are changing folks, so let's enjoy our cars while we can.

That rear chrome strip is not my fav. I'm thinking it could be an easy vinyl wrap delete between the two rear lamps...assuming one picks a color that is available in vinyl.

Sadly, no more V8 on S6s, so probably a higher output version of the new V6 turbo on the S4, but probably a twin turbo version, not the discontinued supercharged one.

Nothing official but the videos of the S6 testing at the Ring are widely available. You can easily hear that it’s a V6 and not a V8.

I like this new A6 way better than the A7. Something about the exterior bits all working well together. I strongly dislike the all touch screen everything interior. Started with the panamera and now migrating to all VAG. Maybe I’m a dinosaur but buttons are so much easier in everyday life. Also how is this tech gonna age? I’ve a 3.5 year old smart phone that is now a POS with the newer OS.

I have been secretly eyeing the RS5 Sportback that will be coming here that uses the 2.9L V6TT, which is a really good motor. I'm curious if they will use the that motor in the S6.

Geez, I love some German engineering but, maybe VAG should leave the asthetics to the Italian designers they employ. I mean some of the most famous German composers made their pieces to be performed in Italian. Same thing, the German did the enginerring and the Italian did the presentation.

I like it as well. The one thing I notice is that it is much easier to tell the difference between the a4/a6/a8 models. I look at this thing and immediately can tell what it is, which is a good thing.

Agreed. It’s fine on a small cheap car. Not a car at this level and price tag.

Definitely won't be swapping my S6 for this model. I just don't like the front grill, the rear arches, the tail lights and chrome bar and the interior is just terrible. Touch sliders in a car, no thank you and those awkward lines, even on the steering wheel. Audi is trying too hard.

The only thing I don't like about the exterior are those front LADAR/RADAR sensors. Audi has moved them from the front "fog light" positions onto the front grill. I don't like them there since they stick out too much and breaks the horizontal line of the grill. The sensors in the "fog light" position IMHO look a lot better.

I think this will sell, evident by peoples reaction here are mixed. Some like it some don't. Maybe the refresh they will change somethings that are terrible about the exterior. The chrome line at the back reminds me of 80s buicks!! if they fixed the back lights and didnt mix horizontal and vertical leds then it would be decent and maybe the interior touch screen can be overlooked.
