I broke it in gently for more than the recommended 500 miles just to be safe. The clutch seemed to get smoother with each mile. It is now super smooth. I honestly can’t believe how smooth it is. Pedal pressure needed is barely more than stock. It is so different from the beast of a clutch I had on my stage 3 B5 S4. That thing kicked like a mule and bit like a gator! This South Bend Endurance clutch behaves like a stock clutch. I was expecting to need to give it a touch of gas when changing gears like my B5 to avoid a shudder, but it’s just like stock and isn’t necessary.
I am very happy with how it drives and holds the dual pulley power. I went from looking at selling the car and buying something else to loving the car again. The first time I did a quick 1-2 shift, I chirped the tires. I chuckled for a few minutes straight. With that stupid delay valve gone and a clutch that can hold dual pulley power, this car is a ton of fun.
