I think I’m in love - my new TT RS

I’ve been out of the sports car arena for over a decade where I’ve been suppressing all car related influence. Why? I don’t know — guess family phase really. So I’ve been a boring point A to B driver in a Toyota truck. Granted I still love my truck but we all know there is no real joy driving a truck.

This is my third Audi, a B5 A4 and a highly tuned MTM stage 5 B5 S4. Selling the S4 was a very sad day but at the time it seemed like the right thing so we can buy our dream house. Finance Committee (wifey) always promised I could replace the S4 someday. Well, that someday has arrived and I’m could not be happier.

I really was only looking at Porsche 718 Boxster S and Cayman S thinking if I ever got the opportunity to get another sports car it would be a the P car — of course the dream would be THE P car; a 911 of some sort. But just couldn’t find that in my budget. While I love the feel at wheel and in the seat of the pants in the Boxster and Cayman, the big hurdle is I need some storage space for my hobbies (ice hockey and golf). That ain’t happening in the P cars...

Then, I started reading up on this new sweet looking Audi TT TS!! Holy crap this car is legit and answers everything I was looking for with absolutely no compromises. I can fit both my huge hockey bag and my golf clubs at the same time and get anywhere I want to go very quickly and in total luxury and style. The interior of this Audi is so much sweeter than just about everything I sat in. One test drive and I knew the search is over.

I won’t bore you on all the details but there is an incredible long and common story finding the exact TT RS I wanted where I wasn’t willing to compromise on ANYTHING! Found my exact spec’d car 1000 miles from home where I didn’t have to endure the incredible test of patient of ordering her.

Congrats, welcome back to the club....I too love mine....it's been fantastic. Only issue I've had is the exhaust rattle on cold start...I can live with that because I love the noise the car makes when it warm. If Audi comes up with a fix that doesn't compromise the other noises, I will get that done.

The Central Fl Audi Group on FB does events with the Jax group. I've just joined them and missed the last event together. Although at the Roar before the 24 at the Speedway, a few came from that group.

Damn that is sweet looking. Just picked up a Glacier white TTS and though I love it, the RS is in another league of its own. Congrats!!
