APR Stage 3 S6 Acceleration Video

Running the APR Stage 3 104 file using Sunoco GT260+

Did not use launch control, just left from idle for a shakedown run.

Vbox captured 0-60 in 3.41 seconds (not bad without LC) and 0-100 in 6.19 seconds...these numbers would certainly improve with a launch

nice run man. I got 3.1 seconds 0-60 and 6.46 seconds to 100mph on a stopwatch. Without launch that's nuts. I'm guessing 2.7 seconds and 5.9 to 100 with launch

Vbox is most accurate since GPS based. It didn't capture any more metrics after 0-60 and 0-100...but I've broken down the video a ton of times and clock 0-150mph in 13.2-13.4 seconds every single time with a stopwatch. I didn't want to put that number up there because it's based on using a stopwatch and not the vbox.

If you look closely, the car doesn't begin to move until 2k RPMs

The needle is still below 0mph

That's fast however you choose to look at it--congrats, dude! I'm interested to see the gains from a proper launch + a prep'd track--it's tough to say if you'll be able to beat a Performante but you're going to be well and truly up his chuff if not unable to see it. Nice!

Can you let us know the ZIP of Closed Road? Presumably, it's just round the corner from Private Drive and Airstrip Way--looks like a great place to play...

I shall not disclose said location, but it helps to have friends with land in Texas where roads are wide, flat and empty

Regarding the Performante, it should be quite close, of course coming down to the launch for both of us. From what I have seen, they seem to average in the 10.5x-10.6x range (with a record run of 10.4x by a 130lb 17 yr old in a mineshaft DA). Will be awesome no matter the outcome.

I'm loading the tank up to about 3/4 full of Sunoco so we can have some fun Saturday before the track day Sunday.

I think your digital speedo jumps a lot more than mine does- you go from 2-11-25 in a spilt second at the beginning, it just can't keep up

I think Mickey's (and others) time slips this weekend will be much more practical and important, but on the same turbos, inlets, and tune, I've gotten 620whp on a dynojet recently, about 20 points lower than limey's 2017 RS7 performance (APR Stage 2 tune, stock downpipes) on the same dyno, same day. Both were on the 93 file.

track prep wasn't great and the temps were about 60 so I was getting some ugly wheel hop that day- had it on 3 of the 4 passes I made there- that one you notice the car short shifted as well but still turned a 1.55 60'

Wasnt talking about the digital speedo, looking at the needle. You can pause when my speedo hits 10mph and you're already touching 20mph

Looks like to me.to 100 mph Mickey is faster. I'm starting to wonder if I'm better off getting rs turbos instead of downpipes.

Anyway, don't forget that this 0-150-ish blast is at 80 degrees ambient according to the dash. Wow.

Tom, was there ever a doubt that RS turbos were a better buy than downpipes? You need both of course.

I spent literally minutes removing random frames from Doc's video to ensure the RS7 got to 100 before the M6 so I'm reasonably positive you're wrong! Hehehe. Unfortunately my vbox was acting up (weak GPS signal), which may even discredit the figures I posted above (although they seem accurate). 60-130 was not captured but dissecting the video it would seem low 7s (I'm getting 7.0-7.2 every time I attempt to time it).
