The main reason why I am asking is I am unsure if this is because of the way the car's electrical system is wired or because there is a common oversight in the B7 Android radio design.
If it's a design oversight, then a universal unit should fix the issue. If the noise is because of the way the car's audio system is wired, then only a stock radio can fix it.
My apologies, I should have more specific, I meant to say any double din radio; not just Android ones.

The FM reception in my Xtrons is amazing. It is an awesome aftermarket radio, period, especially for the price. However, the trade off is that compatibility with all cars, and variations of that same car (bose vs non-bose, for example) is not guaranteed, and will likely not be 100%. My impression is that, for whatever reason, the B7 is one of those cars. I would love to hear an EE from VAG provide a response as to why.
However, like I said, A pioneer or sony (et al) unit will likely be more sorted out and not suffer from the ground noise, even if it is a generic DD unit. Remember, these chinese units, even though they are crammed into a case that LOOKS oem, are all the same, except forthe harnesses, and use the basic can bus language for the MFD. There is nothing "Chinese Manufacturer X" does to make their units specifically compatible with B7s, or any other car, beyond a plastic face that fits in the dash hole.
