    Facelift instrument Cluster

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi there,

I have a 2008 C6, pre ''facelift''. I wonder if the facelift instrument cluster with the needle sweep is plug and play? What is involved to get it working?

Needle sweep can be activated with vcds or Carista on majority platforms.
Not sure if you need FL cluster for it.

If you want DIS upgrade, than yes, you need cluster upgrade.

Might as well do the mmi 3G/3G+ upgrade with it

Needle sweep can not be done on my 08' pre' facelift.

    What is DIS upgrade?

What is needed for the MMI 3G upgrade?

Sorry mate. Wasn’t sure exactly but thought it wouldn’t be a problem.

    DIS - Driver Information System.
That small display between speedo and rev counter on instrument cluster.

For sure screen and main mmi module is needed for the upgrade but I’m no expert here

Interesting sin, from the research the pre-facelift models couldn't have that feature. I have Carista app, and it's not an option for me.

Also, the little screen between mph and tach, our prefacelifts have that. Surely it's not an option?
Mine shows all sorts of info. From Vehicle, to Navigation when activated, MMI controls etc...

Yes, my MMI 2G High has the screen between the clocks. In fact it looks identical to the Facelift version. But when I check in my VCDS (Full version) Needle sweep is not an option. I have bought a facelift instrument cluster, with needle sweep. I wonder what it takes to make it work. Are the pin-outs the same? I know the plug is the same?

    Cheers

I went to the Ross-tech wiki page for the pre-facelift cars and there is no coding listed. Unless I have had Stormy for so long or my advanced age is hindering my memory, I could have sworn my 05 swept.
