Rockauto has good prices and selection. No need to get OEM blades. Audi doesn’t make wiper blades. The same suppliers you’ll buy premium blades from supply the OEMs. Rockauto tiers products so just buy the premium wiper and it’ll be OEM quality.

i went with bosch. oem supplier of Audi. The priciest one has they have 2 versions. I if I were to do again, i would go oem, no need to mess with universal clip shit.

If this is what you are suggesting, I think they are terrible. Less than 4 months old, been streaking for awhile now

Hey guys, so I bought Bosch wipers and they have been terrible. The wipers stutter a good portion of the time and I’m not sure if there Is an issue with my wiper system. Any thoughts?

    Which wipers?

I generally buy these from Amazon, but occasionally they chatter for the first couple of wipes; especially when new. At first I thought there was some sort of coating that needed to be removed, or my windshield wasn't moist enough, but it eventually goes away. I realize that likely isn't the answer you're looking for, but that's been my experience with these, while the other wipers have been garbage; IMO.

Those are the ones I bought. Have had for three months. They stutter and chatter almost always. I get a few good swipes now and again. Before these I had OEM and had zero issues. I guess I’ll try to go to dealership for new OEM to see if that helps.

Yes, they will fit your car. Contrary to what Amazon thinks. My last set of these lasted 4 New England winters and counting.

I've found Valeos to work best these days - but you need the Ultimate Beam Originals (which have the OEM connector only - not universal):
    Drivers Side - part #24TB
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    Passenger Side Part #20TB
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

FYI - They typically last only ~1 Year - but for $12/Blade it's cheap to replace them every 9 months or so depending on climate.

EDIT: I've found the need to avoid the Bosh Icons or any other blade that has a universal connector on the Audi - Audis seem super sensitive to those - and while the blades work great on most vehicles - they seem to fail quickly on Audis...

I will try these valeos and report back. Otherwise I will return and go OEM.

I would clean the windshield. Use a stripper meant for glass. More often than not, wiper chatter is due to a residue on the windshield, not a bad wiper. Oh, and don't even think about Rain-X, or similar.

What do you recommend to clean the glass? I have used a rain x equivalent that I got from strainers domain with absolutely no issues with the OEM wipers.

My understanding is it's a swappable insert they use - not hard mounted into the wiper - so just pointing out that unless it's hard mounted and designed to ONLY support the OE Audi connection type - it seems to fail quickly on Audis... I'm not suggesting they don't fit, just the connection seems to be the key factor - it's something to think about....

Also note the same is true on the Valeos - they have alternate models that support multiple connection types - I specifically linked the part #s for the ones that have hard mounted Audi Connections only - where most companies "Higher End" Beam Styles are designed to fit multiple connection types...

Consensus from the board (do a search if you don't believe me...) is exactly what my statement was pointing towards - The universal swappable connectors seem to be the tie in on Audis to poor performing blades... Certainly from my personal experience it holds completely true...

AND for the record I am a fan of Bosh Icons for all my other vehicles - they are great - just something about the Audis that doesn't mate up and causes them to under-perform and streak...

But hey - I'm just a guy with car that's been through multiple wipers of multiple brands.... I can guarantee you that Rain-X Latitudes should be avoided like the plague.... they not only streaked within 1 hour - they literally fell off the car mid wipe 12 hours later....

And a final thought - the Valeos are $12/Wiper - so even if they perform even almost as well as the Icons - they are 1/2 the price - who doesn't like that?

Is rain-x actually that terrible? All I know is, good branded silicon wipers are the way to go.

I absolutely despise it. Might be good on other windows, but it does not belong on the windshield. Makes wipers super noisy.

When I treat the windshield with Rainx, it makes my wipers chatter. Now I only treat the other windows and leave the front alone.

Did you try the Valeos - or just go right to OEM?

I just put new Valeos on my car last week (every May) - streak free - didn't even clean the glass

Indy shop noticed slight streaking during oil change - wanted $50 for wipers - Valoes come in @ $25 shipped to my door - I'll change them myself (Thanks)

I went straight OEM and of course put them on myself. The interesting thing I have observed is that I got them to chatter once when doing a quick swipe pressing the knob downward and releasing quickly. If I hold the knob while it swipes and release when’s it basically done swiping it didn’t chatter. Seems to possibly be when the motor slows on that downward wipe.

Anyway, will keep posted if anything changes. I also cleaned and coated the glass prior to putting these on.
