Does anyone have an image of the 4.0 RS7 firing order? I have a misfire on cylinder 5, thinking of changing to colder plugs and new coil packs

You want the firing order, or the cylinder count? Cylinder count, when looking at the engine with the hood open, is 1,2,3,4 starting on the left (passenger side, front to back), then 5,6,7,8 on the right (driver's) side, front to back as well. So your cylinder #5 is the first (closest to the front grille) on the driver's side. I'm not sure about the firing order on our 4.0TT, but typical Audi V8 firing order has been 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2, but let somebody more familiar with the 4.0TT confirm or correct me. Good luck.

Until you see you need to unbolt the wiring harness for the coils and see the coolant res is in the way. Cyl 1-4 is easy to get to. The other side sucks for access.

Good to know. Any suggestions of which plugs and gapping to use on my RS7 stage 2? Are the coil packs known to go bad in these cars?

There is a specific TSB for cylinder #5 misfire. Pretty sure it's a software update. The Contact the dealer and get it dealt with asap.

It’s a common issue with this platform. There is a bunch of info about resolutions/solutions stock or tuned setups to handle more boost/power. Checkout the 4.0 Performance and Tech FB group.
