Power steering location

Hi all,

I am having stiffness while steering my 2013 A4 2.0T around turns. Trying to locate the power steering fluid container and can’t seem to find it.

Did a google search and I don’t have anything in the lower right hand side beside the coolant reservoir. Any ideas where it might be ?

2013 should be the first year Audi started using electric steering on the A4. So you wont have any fluid to check.

We recently had an issue with stiff steering along with "notchy" steering and had the electric steering rack in our 2013 replaced under our extended warranty. All issues are now solved and feels so much better.

Unfortunately my warranty has expired. I called the dealership to check if there’s any recalls. No luck.

Could be steering shaft binding. the part is cheap $60. and then about $600 with labor. If it' becomes stiff at certain angles, it's more likely the the shaft's U-join is binding.

Thanks. I’ll look into it. Audi wants $150 to check the steering to see if anything is covered I might just do it to see if there’s a problem.
