    Hi,

Just passing on a great source for used Audi parts - if it's unknown to some folks.
I've bought all kinds of small/large parts from them over the years and they are a great source.
All the parts I've received have been in great condition (if that's what I requested) and they are very nice to work with. I wish there was a place like this for some of the other car brands I own...

They are in upstate, NY, around the Catskills. You can't drop by to search their inventory/yard, but I think you can make an appointment, especially if they are selling a whole (salvaged) vehicle.

Ebay is a great place to start for that. Once you start looking for a few parts you realize that you see the best stuff from only one or two places. Then you'll see they generally specialize in those types of parts and you can either jump right to their store or they have a website.

It is also a good place to find quality parts for pennies on the dollar compared to Shokan. (nothing against Shokan as a business but their prices often suck)

Really the best part of it is you can usually find the place that ISN'T a specialist and doesn't know what they have to get stuff cheap.

That’s interesting to hear and good that you’re happy with them.

I’ve never had a positive interaction with Shokan myself. Every time I’ve contacted them, they’ve acted like they’d be doing me a favor by selling me something and their prices are pretty high. I’ve heard the same story from several other enthusiasts/forum members too. Due to those factors, I’ve never ordered from them so in all fairness I don’t know how things are post purchase.

Alternatively, I’ve had good success with Wolf Auto Parts in MN. They’ve been friendly and helpful from a customer service standpoint and the prices are reasonable.

Have had no interaction with them but have purchased parts from them quite a few times, always ebay. I forget they have a normal site to check first until after I order. Not sure if they price differently between the two.
