    A4 rear bumper on A5

I've searched and I can't find the answer. I'm curious if an A4 rear bumper will fit an A5. I know the part numbers are different, but I don't think Audi uses the same numbering system for body panels as they do for other parts. Besides, that doesn't mean it won't fit. B8.5 bumpers fit on B8s. I want to know, because I need a new rear bumper, and the A4 bumpers are quite a bit less expensive.

^^^^ Not 10" wider, but definitely wider for sure...

It's basically a lower, shorter, and wider car.

Its the same chassis, so I'm not sure it could be 10" wider. Has anyone actually measured this? I might get a measuring tape and measure some A4's, because I find this claim dubious. The A5 could look wider, because it is shorter.

Edit: Nevermind, the trunk of the A4 is wider, so the A4 bumper will not fit. It's a moot point whether the A5 is wider or not.

What I got from google is:
    A5 - 1981mm
    A4 - 1826mm
    https://www.auto123.com/en/new-cars/...ro/#dimensions
    https://www.auto123.com/en/new-cars/...ro/#dimensions

    Which is 155mm difference = 6.5"
And I have both, I know how wide it is the S5 compare to A4 during parking

Your google skills need improvement. It's not anywhere near a 6.5" difference. And your math skills need improvement too, because 155mm does not equal 6.5 inches.

Here's the official width dimensions from Audi. Looks like a hair more than an inch difference in width between the A5 and A4 body.

Well, I appreciate everyone's help, but the real difference is the size of the trunk which is wider on the A4. Just because the car is an inch wider overall does not mean the rear bumper is necessarily wider. Still, it makes it more likely. Also, they are fairly similar shapes. Its just the trunk is wider on the A4 by quite a bit making the opening for it on the bumper wider as well.

So what you're saying is that the bumper won't fit because both cars are different shapes?

    Mind blown.

Quarter panel drops down much lower on the 5, taillights are a different shape, trunks are different, width is different, mounting points are likely different...

Not even close to being the same.
