P0101 Code and Possible Bad MAF

The title is pretty much says it. While driving under partial throttle with slight acceleration, the car stumbled and the tpms and parking brake faults came on. I scanned the car and the P0101 is the only fault I saw with Torque. I'll scan it latter with VCDS when I get home. The car will start, but it will quickly die if light throttle is not applied. After start-up the car will idle on its own; however, it idles rough and a little low. The MAF still provides a reading on Torque, but it looks a little low at idle. Roughly 2 g/s at idle. Right now, I'm trying to figure out if I should go ahead and order a new MAF so I can get it ASAP or if there's something else it could possibly be.

Code p0101 indicates massive air leak on intake.

You could always try cleaning it.

Thanks for posting those. I had found several threads about boost leaks related to the P0101 code, but they all included the under boost code as well. I checked all the hoses except for the turbo outlet hose. I guess I'll have to check that as soon as I get home. I live in an apartment complex, and my jack and stands are at my parents house. I might be going to harbor freight tonight. My neighbors will think I'm crazy as well. Oh well.

I'll give that a try. I have some CRC MAF cleaner laying around from working on my GF's Saab.

    Found the problem.

I've had hoses come off before, but I've always had an under-boost code accompanying the P0101 code.

Cool that it was an easy fix.

Well, yeah, it was. Its pretty annoying having to jack the car up for this, especially since I don't have a garage or driveway. My new 3-ton low-profile jack made quick work of getting the car up in the air and on stands.

The code is gone, but the car still idles low and the MAF is still reading low.
