Looking for Reliable Audi Mechanic in Greater NYC Area

Just moved to Queens, NY and I'm looking for a reliable mechanic that can regularly service my 2013 S7. Can anyone make a recommendation? I'm obviously trying to avoid the dealership.

I say eurotech hands down. But if you want it closer i can link you up to a great mechanic who works at a audi dealer (wont disclose location publicly lol) and also a member of our club who recently became mechanic at elitemotorsport in which i can guide u 2

My car is currently at an Audi dealer for driving transmission re-adaptation due to rough downshifts. I hope that they can fix the issue under warranty. If they can't, is this something that Elite Motorsports can fix? I recently brought my car in to your shop for standard maintenance and the tech who worked on my car gave me a few names at the local Audi dealership to speak to which was very helpful. He said he used to work there, so I'm guessing this is the same guy. I don't have Audi Care, so I will need a good shop for repairs, etc.

Thanks for the tip! The guys at Elite were very nice and they are a bit closer to me, but my first experience wasn't 100% as expected. I had to bring the car back and wait another hour after driving away and noticing that my NYS inspection was never done, even though they billed me for it. Pretty minor, but it would have been nice not to have wait in line for the inspection machine again. I believe they need to institute a final QC check of their tech's work before they release the car and bill the customer. Decent looking shop overall though.

I've heard a few negative things about Elite. I've never dealt with them personally though.

+1 on Tyrol. They do good work. They are a bit pricey though

Tyrol is the closest to you that I would recommend, but I suggest you make an appointment well in advance. They get booked solid for weeks

Why do you guys like Tyrolsport so much? The fair pricing or the quality work? And what job have they done on your car?

I actually think their pricing is a little high. I'd say a bit higher than some of the other popular shops around here. However, they really know their stuff. They do quality work.

I had the full dual pulley set up installed by them. Also have the AMS alpha system done by them.

You are not the only one feel this way. I only had a tune installation with them. I may go back to them for other jobs if I can afford them.

Tyrol does quality work, which is never cheap. For the level of quality it is a reasonable price.

Haven't been to Tyrolsport in a long time but it's the only shop I know of that has a passion for German cars in Queens. I used to go to Mike. Back when he operated out of his parents garage.

Has anybody heard of or used M-Spec performance out in middle village ny? I found them thru google and they seem to have good reviews.

They changed a light for me on my old A6. Good mechanics but not sure Audi is their focus compared to Tyrol.

Not sure he's willing to take on work on the side. But I know a certified VW mechanic that might be able to do your service on the side. He lives in Queens. I've never had work done by him, as i don't live in NY anymore. I think he's a master mechanic. Older gentleman with a lot of experience. Ah ok thanks. Yeah I saw that they weren't too far from me so just wanted to check first.

I'd probably only go to Tyrol for any work that might be a little more complicated. They quoted me 40% more than the next highest quote for a brake job.
