Opinions wanted, black or silver RS4 grille?

Usually a fan of blacking out but with a dark blue car I don't think blacking out really "matches". Anyone with a similar color that chose black or silver for the same reason?

Unless you are going to black out everything else, I would go with Silver.

Had the same debate myself and still kind of do lol.... may paint it silver by the end of the year or just order a separate one to see how it looks

What about the two bottom smaller grilles? Leave those black with a silver main grille or paint them silver to match?

No just the side grilles really don't work imo. If you like it that's all that matters.

Full disclosure I'm not huge on rs4 grille in general. Only on b7 rs4 or b5s do I like it

I was talking full silver, but black mesh with silver surround is also an option I guess.......

Stock grille with removed license plate holder is also not so bad..

I'm old school. If you have silver window trim and wheels, then silver is the way to go. If the trim and wheels are black, go black. If you have trim and wheels that are not both the same color, change one to match.

I’m a fan of the black mesh rs4 grille with chrome or matte surround as I had one on my previous black A4. I was planning to do the same for my black S4 however I’m really liking the factory grille with that bars blacked out. And for the price, you can’t beat it

That's what I did with mine. $7 of Trimbrite tape and 20 minutes of labor. It's held up well through 2 Minnesota winters.

I agree.

Dark blue and all black clash. I have Moonlight Blue and its just not a good color to black out. Something about the paint being almost black, but not, makes it clash.

I would go Silver with black mesh.

When I was shopping for my S5, I saw a navy RS5 with silver grill. It was the sharpest looking front I have seen.

My vote is silver (chrome). I agree, it should match the other accents around the windows and rear view mirrors.

This. Black optics trim & a silver/chrome lined grille seems out of place IMO. Any mod is personal preference.

IMO the stock grille looks the best, but I am partial to keeping aesthetics (aside from wheels) as stock as possible.

+ 1 for consistency.

I must be the only one here who prefers the stock grille over any of the variations of the rs4 "style" one. at least on my car, it ties in perfectly to the rest of the car. Audi did a good job on the design of these cars.

Personally I like contrasting colors. My red Audi has a black out grill and my black Audi has a silver grill

I meant it came that way, not that I literally did anything to "keep" it brushed. Found it locally on CL, sorry I can't tell you where it's from.

I feel that look is best. Easy to do and cheap. But there are those that really prefer the RS4 style grille.

I'm a fan of the silver around it but the black on black looks really good. What rims are do you both have on?
