What individual drive-mode settings do you save/use?

Curious what other people set for their individual drive modes. Here’s mine:

    Engine/Transmission: AUTO
    Air Suspension: AUTO
Dynamic Steering: DYNAMIC (Auto/Comfort is way too light for me)
    Sport Differential: AUTO
Engine Sound: DYNAMIC (wish it was louder)
    Adaptive Cruise: AUTO

I almost always leave it in this mode, occasionally flipping it dynamic and comfort. I guess mine is rather boring lol. It’s easier for me to just go full dynamic mode when needed and just get the things I like in day-to-day driving.

Most of the time I pull back the gear shifter to engage sport mode, but default individual is set to auto in MMI.

    Engine/Transmission: auto
    Air Suspension: comfort
    Dynamic Steering: dynamic
    Sport Differential: dynamic
    Engine Sound: comfort
    Adaptive Cruise: auto

I almost never use the Dynamic profile because I dislike the unnecessarily & artificially heavy steering but most especially Audi's (non-air) DRC or dampers--suffice it to say I call it "Princess Pea" mode. Note that it was a hard ride before the lowering springs, now it's a track tool only.

I drive in Individual 99% of the time; setup as follows:

    Engine/transmission: Dynamic
    Damper control: Comfort
    Dynamic steering: Comfort
    Sport differential: Dynamic
    Engine sound: Dynamic
    Adaptive cruise: Dynamic
    2018 ////AMG E63S in Diamond White/Nut Brown, lowered 20mm front/back, spacers, tints, EuroCharged tune

Engine/Transmission: AUTO (Easy enough to pull back the shifter to make this Dynamic if desired)
Air Suspension: COMFORT (Dislike throttle and ultralight steering in full Comfort mode but like the soft ride for my individual setting)
Dynamic Steering: AUTO (for me is just all-around right)
Sport Differential: DYNAMIC (because I can :))
    Engine Sound: AUTO or COMFORT
Adaptive Cruise: DYNAMIC (it took me a while to finally try this setting but I find it better for the areas I use it.)

Still cycle through all the modes the individual is sorta my comfort mode.

+2. But have a question. Actually 2. On 'auto' suspension, when it lowers at speeds over 75 mph, does it revert to 'dynamic', or just lowers like dynamic but damps like auto? Curious about that. And with 'auto' steering, is it 'direct comfort' like the manual says, or variable (8:1 to 18:1) like comfort but with less assist, therefore indirect, like somebody posted? The 'dynamic' mode is labeled as 'direct sport'. I don't know what's the difference between direct and indirect, since all 3 modes take a full turn straight to lock (or 2 turns lock to lock). The variable ratio should take less, no? Finally, curious if lowering the suspension more with VCDS is only in dynamic, and how much the ride is affected. I like it there because of the stance. Also liked that if you don't want to feel anything, steering in 'comfort' takes care of that, like when slabbing on endless straights in imperfect asphalt. On the diff, guess it makes no difference which mode you use if it's not slipping, right? And on that subject, does anybody know what kind of rear differential we have? Is it a Torsen or clutch? And finally, on the engine sound, is it all artificial, or comfort natural and dynamic enhanced, and enhanced via the speakers, or some intake tube with a valve? Thanks.

Does AUTO switch modes from comfort to dynamic and vice versa or is it simply like an in between setting?

My drive mode are all set to dynamic EXCEPT for transmission. The S in transmission is too jerky for me around town.

+1, not to mention the extra fuel usage from always being a gear above normal.

I wondered about this too and the instruction manual isn’t very clear, although from what I read, I think it’s a more in between setting than some fuzzy logic that switches between the two.

I guess we need to try them and see what each of us feel. But at least on the steering it seems like the 'auto' mode reduces a bit of assist, but it's still unclear if it's the 'indirect' variable ratio or the 'direct' mode. I'm going to try again each mode and see what they do. Wish there was a detailed tech explanation of that, with a graph of each mode's ratio as the steering wheel turns, to visualize the differences. Couldn't find anything. Would also love a technical explanation of the 3 suspension settings as well. Guess we'll have to try them and see what we feel, and report here.
