    C6 A6 3.0T Intake options

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I've been searching around and I'm not getting much luck so I'll ask here.

What are my options for an intake?

I see people talking about Injens, USP, and ROCs but I don't see any for an C6.

Do C7 intakes fit the C6s?

Also I'm wondering the same things with exhausts.

Read through these old threads about this issue. Kneel from this forum and his friend up in NY have designed what I believe to be the first TRUE CAI system, but they are not quite ready to get orders out the door. I've been waiting for a couple of months now as they work through some last designs and changes, but I think it will be well worth the time waiting when it finally becomes available. Welcome to the family man, good to have you aboard.

There is the thread I was talking about. PM those guys and get on their list. Kneel was working in FL until just before Christmas and he told me nothing was going to happen until after the Holidays, BUT that time is here so.....good luck and happy modding!!

    C6 A6 3.0T Intake options

Roc*Euro sells an intake and heat shield for the C6A6. Everything else is custom made.

As for exhaust, nothing out there either. Some have adapted systems from other cars (Milltek, etc.) and some, like myself have done their own thing with Magnaflo components.

Exhaust is going to be a bit of a different animal because not only does the sound become a bit personal but the cost as well. I second Sin City's idea of MagnaFlow from someone who knows a little bit about that. I am lucky and live here in Chicago and I'm going to work with a fourum member called TrexTurk who owns a muffler shop not too far from me. He will do custom catback for about $700. He was recommended to me by several Forum members who really like the sound and performance of his products. Look around locally or go on YouTube and search A6 exhaust systems. There's a lot of them out there man so like I said it's going to be a matter of personal preference and depth of your pockets.
Id make damned sure all your maintenance issues are handled first. Unless of course those pockets are really deep. I just finished putting in new water pump, coolant crossover pipe and thermostat. Total dealer cost of 3350.
LUCKILY my amazing son was able to do the repairs for a hell of a lot less but.....I guess what I'm trying to suggest is that you
make sure you're mechanically sound before modifications.

Have heard Kneel's intake in person. VERY impressive. Louder than the intakes I've heard on C7s.

But this is also interesting... (I think he meant don't*)

Would it be too much trouble to make an exhaust clip? If not no problem, I'm just really interested in this lol

I really need to make a clip of mine since I made changes, but when I try with my phone it really does not do it justice.

I loved this exhaust and was so ready to buy this exhaust!! I contacted them and it was a custom one-off setup. They said they would be willing to do it on my car but needed the car for 2 weeks at a cost of about $2600. I took the pass.

I have a 2011 C6 A6 Avant 3.0T running a Roc Euro intake and Stage 2 tune. It is a simple install/swap for the stock air box and can be performed in less than 30 minutes with basic hand tools. Kit comes with everything included. Works great and wakes up the Supercharger sound when stepping on the loud pedal. They can be purchased for about $350.
