You can run these so you don't have to replace them every 10k miles over the bkr7e. Or run the cheap bkr7e and replace them every other oil chance.

Yeah I just switched from bkr7e to the bkr7eix. I was changing them out pretty much every oil change, every about 5k miles I started getting misfires in boost. Been running the ixs for only about 2k miles so we’ll see how they do

    I’m running ~450whp and 22psi

I also run these on my stage 3 to avoid having to replace frequently (as opposed to the "regular" BKR7Es). No issues!

Looks like a little less than $6/piece on Rock Auto. I would just add them to an order I'm already making if they come from the same warehouse

You can gap them, just don't put pressure on the thin iridium tip.

I have been running these for well for over a year, gapped to 0.028 with R8 coils and ICM delete. Have had no issues at 550+whp and they last infinitely longer than the copper NGKs. FYI my local O'Reilly's typically has the BKR7EIXs in stock.

Depends on your ignition system. Im on stock coils/ICMs and I gapped to .024. I probably need to gap down to like .022 cause I still get a misfire every once in a while.

If you have 2.0t/R8/RS6 coils and ICM delete, you can run a wider gap i.e. .026-.028

I got the 2.0t coils, so I can safely set it to 0.028 then

the cheaper ones are nickel tip, copper core. No such thing as copper tip plugs.

the iridiums are iridium tip, also copper core.

This "copper" horseshit started when manufacturers figured out how to build them with solid copper cores instead of steel springs to improve conductivity, its never had anything to do with tip design or composition.

bugs the shit out of me. the 7e and the 7e-ix are both "copper" plugs.

oh and .026 on mine... upgraded coils

So maybe I'll try 0.026 and go from there, shouldn't be a problem I guess

Yeah I was thinking they can't be that bad despite people preaching about regular coppers being superior plugs

Anyone that says this, (usually coupled with "because copper is a better conductor") is a either a putz who doesn't know shit about spark plugs and is just pulling nonsense out of his ass, or is a putz who is just parroting the first putz because he doesn't know any better.

You need to search under the "parts search" tab, not the box on top. They are NGK 2667 on rock auto

Really good plug for high boost applicatios is Bosch F3CS. It handels my 36psi and std coils. It is also silver so in case it fails it just melts and doesnt take the piston with it.
I recommend and install them in all cars i work with.
    It is cheap as well.
