I replaced mine years ago with some stainless screws from HD and have been fine ever since.

Sorry I dont . I use them for all my fastener needs. But I usually walk into the store with what I need & the salespeople hook it rite up. usually with upgraded on the cheap

I actually use triple square screws for my plate. If someone steals it, I know they work on VAG cars.

I use hex for my bolts. It's like car theft if you make it harder they will just move on to an easier target. If there are other cars on the street with Phillips or flat head screws they would have to really want my plates to steal them.

I thought it would be better to bring this back than make a new thread. Anyone in Canada that has gotten replacement screws can you give me info like where, what kind of screws did you ask for? I struck out at Fastenal so my next stop is to try Brafasco but I'm not having an easy time getting replacements. I'd like to get the torx head ideally but I'm open to anything better than the stupid OEM screws.
