I used a small paintbrush and took my time. 2 coats. Came out really nice and never wore off.

Thanks for the idea! I put two coats of the silver, but it seemed to need three coats for the red. Painting that little square in the “R” was a PITA, heh.

Yes - fire red and silver. It says it takes up to 48 hours to dry.

I just painted it last night. Tomorrow night will be 48 hours. I actually haven’t even started her up since last Saturday.

Here’s another pic that I just took. In the pic that I took last night, the paint was still very wet. In this pic, the paint has settled in a bit.

If anyone on here has the “regular” silver paint left over I will buy it from you. I have ordered silver paint twice from 2 different vendors and both times they have sent “metallic” silver. I want the one that just says silver on the bottle.

Have a quick question and want an honest answer: No way those jobs look factory, correct? Since I'd hate myself if it doesn't, if I know for sure the paint will never look factory, won't even consider it. If the paint looks factory, then I really, really doubt I'd be able to do a factory-looking job, so guess I'll just drool over your jobs if they indeed looks like it came from the factory like that. By the way, that piece where the 'S6' (or whatever the case) is, looks vinyl to me, but could be wrong. The rest of the entire seat surface looks like leather, and of great quality too (contrary to the base cars that look awful).

Yes it looks oem and yes it doesn't fade. I got tons of compliments on mine in my s4. Just man up and do it. You will not regret it unless you have a tremor or something.

HA! I would rather have someone else do it. I would be all over it but the S6 logo is not designed the same way as the RS7 or S4s that I have seen. It is more complicated and you will have to pick whether you are going to paint the raised portions or the sunken portions. Once I figure that out and I am positive I have got it right I will pull the trigger.

You're absolutely correct. By looking at the photo above, we'd have to paint the RAISED areas, since it's the only way to paint the red square. And if you just paint the raised areas of the 'S' and the '6', it'd look like crap, since it's very thin. Guess my car will stay black. He he.

I am waiting to see if ehoffman goes through with it his this weekend and see the results but if I don't see anything worth my while I will just go ahead and return my paint to Amazon.

So ehoffman has not provided an update. I am going to keep my stock so the paint goes back to Amazon tonight. If someone paints their C7 S6 and shares their fab pictures I will revisit this idea.

Just take your time and go really slow. I put on 3 coats total - waiting 30 minutes in between each coat.
