So I’ve been looking into this since I bought my s 5 months ago. I’ve searched and done my research and I just wanted to get some recent feedback. I don’t track my car and next year I will buy a b5 for commuting to work. I’ve really narrowed down to the vogtland just from what I’ve read. I’ve also considered the bilstein b14, h&r and fks. Haven’t heard much on the fixed dampened bilsteins and many mixed reviews on the other two. I’d appreciate anyone’s input as well as any other brands you would like to throw out. I’ve had cheap coilovers on my usp so I really don’t want to go down that route.

    I bought a set of K Sport 32 way adjustable coilovers . I paid like $750 (only place I found under $900)
I received a lot of flack for "not spending At least $1000"
All that's bullshit if you ask me. They ride better than stock and handle wonderfully. I don't track my car, but I do have a 25 minute drive through windy back roads to get to work and I'd consider that just as good lol
    Good luck on your searches!

Yeah I haven’t heard much on those. Are the rear collars on top or bottom? How’s the ease of adjustment for the dampening. The fk were a no go since the konis have to be taken off the car to adjust

I'll be going with the Vogtland myself.

Interested in this too. Can't decide between vogtlands and B14's. Looking for the least harshest ride and minimal lowering.

Just bought my S4 2 weeks ago and since this is my 3rd B6 S4 i have had the 2 previous ones on coilovers. the First car was on H&R and i really liked them, they were a bit stiff but drove very well and went low, on the second car i had FK's (the good ones with adjust-ability and protected shock bodies) i was not too happy with them as they rode way to soft and no matter how much i adjusted them i could not get them to be perfect. Well today i installed Vogltand's mostly due to the search i have done online and ppl's reviews with B6 and B7 S4's I found a good deal $900 new and pulled the trigger on them. First impressions so far im happy however the car has been lowered 1.5" as i'm giving it a few days for them to settle in so i can spin them down an additional .5". The ride is FRIM but not harsh at all (actually more comfortable then stock) the only thing i have noticed so far (and i only put 20 miles on them) i feel as they are just a little bit bouncy, nothing too serious and i'm hoping as they settle in and i lower them a bit more that issue resolves itself. Overall for the money i'm very happy with them and would def. suggest them to anyone interested in getting them. I will post pics in a few days when i do the final height adjustment

Unless you go expensive, most of the shocks I've seen need to be removed to adjust them. The k sports are no different. They take basically an Allen and on the top to adjust the dampening. I'm sure you could drill a hole directly above the shocks and buy a really long Allen to adjust the fronts without removing them, but the rears would be harder...

Is it true that the vogtlands are softer than stock?
