I have completed the deed and now I am waiting for my V3 10.25" RHD unit to make it's way to me here in the UK. Looking forward to the upgrade from concert to actually having bluetooth and satnav of my choice!

How Long does it Take to boot when you Put in the Key?

It was already fully booted by the time I hopped into my car. The system starts booting the moment you press unlock on your key. I’d say it takes anywhere between 5-8 seconds ? You won’t notice it booting if you press unlock while walking to your car.

My Q5 was originally concert as well. Here’s my advice: don’t use the factory launcher that comes with the RSNAV. No offense but I prefer the rootless pixel launcher. I like to be as hands free when driving if possible and the rootless pixel launcher has “OK Google” available from the home screen. I also setup the Google Play Music widget on the home screen.

Lastly, if you have an android phone and do not plan on having a SIM card for your RSNAV device, download Tasker on your phone and setup a profile where your WiFi hotspot will automatically turn on when Bluetooth automatically connects. That way, the entire experience will feel seemless.

Or Hotspot Starter. Its easier to use than tasker.

Will there be an option to purchase an upgrade to v3? I just purchased this last month. I was disappointed to see the new one come out right after i got it installed.

Send Daniel an email and he will shoot over an invoice for the upgrade. It’s a direct swap and you’ll need to ship your old one back. Not sure how it will work with your v2 cable with the built in isolator though.

With Android Auto, music player what ever it is (Play music, spotify, saavn) music Pauses frequently.

Does any one have this issue.?

Is anyone using "Headunit Reloaded" from play store for Android Auto over wifi. I tried the trail version looks good. I created a wifi hotspot from phone for connection. However I faced a problem, when ever I make/take a phone call over RSNav Bluetooth, rsnavs wifi is disconnecting with phone and hence AA is also lost, i have to reconnect again.

Did anyone have this issue.? I don't think Bluetooth and wifi will conflict.

Feel terrible due to cold, but want to address few
    - HW 3.0 with the instant boot is currently available only with 10.25". A3, Q3 is following, and then will expand the coverage over the months.
    - As you probably know, I keep offering upgrade solution for those who asked me, and willing to do so, but since not all model is supported, so I am waiting to be ready. Also, there has to be some arrangement with our suppliers to accommodate upgrade population.
    - Carplay/AA dongle being terrible like intermittent connection issue or random music stop - all they have to do with firmware and app version matches. The issue is that the dongle guys keep fixing their stuff for every claim but only offering one firmware/software for all, so latest version is not necessarily the best. For this, eventually I am goigng to abandon the dongle, but integrate carplay/AA solution itself to our device, but that would require another hardware update. For now, try mix and match of dongle firmware/software combinavtion. Personally, last july fimrware seems works fine with our system. But it's really CBC. also, make sure to identify if you got either autokit or autoplay version. the firmware for hardware is the same, but autokit and autoplay software distinguishes dongle's marking and wouldn't work if hardware ID is different from prescribed by saying Software Version does not match or something like that.
    - HR works with USB cable too. I will take a look at the disconnection which seems to be a bug.

This year I am planning to go further like 6GB RAM/ Android 8.1 version system upgrade by the end fo this year - we will try to keep the current form factor so that you can upgrade easily any time.

Sorry if you feel disappointed if we didn't announce something before it comes, but as you know, we always make things too late if announced....

oh. RHD 10.25" is being assembled and tested for next week shipment.

Feel dizy so don't know if I answered enough, but that's for today.

I noticed a new firmware in the download section. It would be very helpful with some info about it to decide about updating.
Can we have a changelog? Issue tracker?
Firmware I'm requesting info about is for unit 10.25 hw 2 and posted Jan 3

@daniel i located the issue by myself (freeze Problem).

MMI Screens freeze when i am Hearing music over Spotify App. When i Close the App in Task Manager MMI works as it should.

Then i Open the App and MMI Screen freezes after 2-3 Seconds again. After that i Close spotify MMI works.

So i don't know now If the App is general Problem or only when music is streaming.

OK wait, MMI freezes too when i don't Play anything, Just have started Spotify App.

Mcu Problem? Hope you can Work with this Info...

I have Trouble since 1 1/2 years now with this freeze Shit. I cannot longer live with that. Sometimes it works, Sometimes Not.

Hm. That's strange. I will tell my people to take a look. This week we hope to get brice's bnav and will try to solve the frerzing once again.

I know how it is frustrating when someting does not work as intended.

I bought an used A7 few days ago. It comes with 3G MMI high plus. Today I am using google music and i found Audi BT playback quality is shit as hell. This car is not touched for any aftermarket stuff and it's really strange to have such poor quality with 3g mmi system which i have played with for long time. I found the bt sound quality was fine till yesterday. So today i screwed audi's qnx os but nothing improved.

But, It turns out it's my samsung galaxy s9. When it's connected to OBD II BLE like veepeek at the same time it's playing music over BT , audi BT sound quality goes hell.

The lesson here is that in reality, nothing is perfect. AUDI fixes a lot of things silently and it is the same for samsung. We also try to fix things hard, but things seems not goes well from time to time.

It's the same for spotify. We don't know what they fixed and why it works like that. But we will atempt to fix it anyway.

I see Alfredo here is having strange sound issues. Frankly, I have no idea why only voice guidances get muted and the sound mixing option doesn't do any change. I'd rather try factory restore and then if persist then we may need to replace.

Everyday i got about 30 emails that people say something does not work and asking how to. I answer, suggest, help, replaces or refund. That's it. I used to be stressed about not solving an issue perfectly, but this information technology stuff already became a huge monster like leviathan that no one knows how to control it so i realized i only can do what i can do.

Rsnav is no where near the perfect. Indeed it's with many issues. It won't solve all your thirst on infotainment system. But I would find it's not fair for us to be blaimed not being perfect whereas, in reality, you can't talk the person who made the stuff and your opinion and complain is heard to him if the company is huge like Samsung or Audi. You just can file your complaint through intermediary person and hope something or someone fix your issue.

So, just relax - accept nothing is perfect, try to fix or figure it and/or wait for a fix and if it bothers you too much, get it removed.

I know most of you paid huge junk of money here like what you did to your beloved audi, but like anything else rsnav stuff fails by itself, poor installation or operation which is the same for your audi - one day the timing chain could fail out of no apparent sign and screw your life.

I am still feel sick from my cold and i have no idea what i am writing now. But

Just relax. It's not the priority one problem in your life that is theatdning your life, but a music player is causing some weird issue.

Anyway, we will see if we can do anything for you.

For those with sound issues (playing musik) using bluetooth:
Samsung has a special Sound improvment which causes a lot of issues with a lot of bluetooth speakters (also with rsnav)

If you want to give it a try:
    - Take your Samsung mobile
    - Go to Settings
    - Go to dev-options (maybe you need to enabe this option first)
    - scroll down to something that is called like "max volume control"
    - disable this option

You won't loose an option and you won't loose any function but this solves a lot of sound issues.

Thx. I never Had the understanding that rsnav is perfect. Now i know the issue and when i want to Go to MMI settings i have to Close spotify before.

But you also have to understand us. I Work hard for 700 Dollars. It is much Money for me. And the rsnav Website suggest everything works fine.

Sorry, i was a bit angry before.

No worry. I totally understand you. I feel 100 times per day that I should give up fixing it and start from scratch again.
700 dollar is also a huge chunk for everyone and I am trying my best to make it worthy of your money.
Nevertheless, Spotify has been always causing a bit of issue from the first for some. I think Spotify keep checks something from their server to maintain the credential and it's causing hung up.
As it's their logic, we can't do anything preventing it to doing that.

    M8.1.0.1.09.181816 and M8.1.01.11302002.

M8.1.0.1.09.181816 is newer than the other according to when it is posted.
In software dev, assume that the new fixes problems from the old,BUT the devs may have been very unfortunate and introduced a regression that caused new issues or old to reappear.
There should always be changelog to accompany the release so the user can decide for themselves if it is worth the risk to update.
We are still waiting for changelogs.

This morning my device rebootet 2 times.
The first time after 10 minutes of driving and using spotify and the second time directly after the first reboot finished.

After the second reboot it was workling normally. Any Idea? Is there a log file to take a loot at?

I've noticed that you had this issue for 1 1/2 year now. Do you have the 1.0 version without the built in battery? If so, I MIGHT be able to chime in. I use to have the v1.0 as well and it caused issues with Google Play Music breaking the system. I believe apps like that attempts to sync with the server. During a successful sync, your system will receive a token. Almost like a cookie from your web browser. That has a expiration date. When your system is turned off and turned back on again, the date will reset due to not having a coin battery. When that happens, your date is then reverted to android's oldest date possible. Now your token is technically expired and your app will attempt to renew that token. The issue might be caused because your system's time and date is not inline with the server during initial system startup. That caused all sorts of whacky issues but after I upgraded to the v3.0, the issues went away.

It might not be worth to keep the 1.0 hardware. Upgrade if possible.

    It is not "insert" only.
You have to open the device and solder a batterie(holder)

The rsnav website shows how to handle.

Don’t bother. Wait for the v3 for your car and purchase the upgrade. It will have the built in battery, 3gb ram, instant boot and built in noise isolator. The sound quality is much better.

What does "build in noise isolator" mean?
Actuelly i have disconnected my noise isolator because the sound quality is much better without the isolator.

    @Daniel
Is it possible to disable this as an Setting?
