    I have a question though.
When making a phone call with Bluetooth app I don't seem to be able to hang up. After clicking the green phone icon to dial a number the phone icon never turns red.
    Am I missing anything?
    Thanks.
    Hi guys,
Do any of you have that issue with the proprietary phone app?
I also have another issue. If I start backing before Android is fully booted up then go back to a forward gear Android keeps repeatedly switching back to the Audi interface every time I hit the screen. The only way to stop it is to, in the Audi interface, switch the source to something else than aux and switch back.

Hi, after installing the new system, i get no sound through AMI port. I put my old screen back in, and still do not get sound through AMI port. Anyone know what is going on and how to fix?

i have returned everything to factory setting. unplugged all rsnav cables. put in old screen, and reset vag com codes back to normal. i am using a bluetooth adapter in my AMI port. My phone connects to the bluetooth adapter, and my factory screen shows the songs from my phone, and shows the song being played. but there is no sound coming through. the sd card in my concert radio still plays sound, but the ami port is not playing sound anymore.

Figured out my issue here. On the factory quadplug (with multiple subconnectors), one of them became loose and the little plastic lock broke off. When we attached the factory quad to the rsnav quad connector, this piece wasn't getting connected since it wasn't locked into place. Got it fixed now, and everything is working smoothly. The system really is great.

One feedback would be that the Y-Cable that Daniel/RSNav provides could be made smaller. I see how Daniel tried to match the audi factory connector, but if he split his into 2 or 3 components, it would take less room behind the radio, and would be easier to get the radio back in. Also, the quad connector RSNav provides wasn't a very easy fit to the audi connector, so maybe this could be made to be a bit simpler.

Overall though, the cable harness is done very well. As is the tablet mount, and the overall cabling and connections.

    Hi everybody,
now my console buttons (the two right next to the MMI Button) are blinking. I know, somebody had the same problem, but i didnt find any solution. Maybe this post from Daniel?:
"So, for the console problem, the problem was identified.
We designed the serial interface baud rate to be 19200 bps as 3G MMI+(HN+) uses, and it turns out 19200 bps is too fast for BNAV(3G MMI Basic) and HNAV (3G MMI).
Thus, adjusting bps will make the console work again.
It seems like we need to differentiate firmware for BNAV, Hnav from HN+, also have to check if the baud rate setting is updatable via software.
I do not know if we have to replace the affected items yet since I myself did not see the code for the console communication.
Thanks to Yury for head up on this. "

I am really afraid, that something is broken.
    THX for help ;-)

The issue has been resolved. What MMI version do you have? I am worrying if you updated to 3G MMI firmware while you have 3G MMI+.

No, i did no update. I have the MMI 3G+ with the firmware as delivered. Only installed. But 3 cables are not clear for what they are. First one the black one for the original display and two small (male/female) plugs named "front dash speaker". Maybe this causes problems?

My sq5 also had those two buttons blinking. BUT mine did stop and no longer do it. They seem to blink every time the mmi control unit is removed from the dash... once it’s all put back and the ignition has cycled a couple times the blinking buttons are now gone.

Thanks much appreciated. Just got everything hooked up over the weekend. Black and White striped wire was the winner on the tester. It was a nice sanity check to see someone else's setup.

Do the buttons blink when the car is running or just when it's off? Mine blink when the car if off (I couldn't tell you exactly what circumstances cause it) but I don't think it's really a big deal, it's not hurting anything and it certainly won't drain your battery.

Something I noticed and not sure if this is a bug or not. But when adjusting volume on the steering wheel vs the knob, there appears to be a disconnect between the two.
For example. using the knob, the audio volume is visible on android screen. Using the knob nothing shows up but the audio still increases or decreases. Overall the knob behaves like a amp controller increasing the maximum audio value based off the last input of the steering wheel volume.

yes same here, its just how it is i guess since it kind of runs like an aux off of it. doesnt really bother me as long as volume adjustment works, i dont really care for the bar itself.

    This is normal.

The steering wheel is connected to Android & sound system. So, it changes both Android output value and amp volume value. The radio knob is just changing the amp volume value.
The best practice for optimal sound quality is to increase the bar to the max so that android output is at maximum and control with radio knob to reduce the amplification by Audi amp.
Contrarily if you set too low value for Android, and use too much amp volume then high gains from the audio lines will cause noises to be amplified as well.

Hey there Guys, new to this forum. I've been reading for a long time.. I don't have the 10.25 screen but I bought the 10.1 from Daniel for my 2010 a4. I love it!!! I didn't do the VAGCOM because when I turned everything on the sound worked.. For the Am/Fm and cd. now the only thing is when I try BT music I get no sound or when I put a usb stick with movies I get picture but no sound. When I go into APPS the first AUX says im connected then I have 2 more AUX's in there that say no input when I click on them.. to fix my issue do I still have to do VAGCOM even though my other sound works? Thanks guys. PS. kuddos to Daniel. These units are incredible!

    Hi!
That's exactly what's happening if you didn do the coding... or buy an optional noise isolator if you don't want to buy expensive coding kit.
I think I will have extra noise isolator wires by the end of the month in Canada.

I have the VAGCOM cable and program. So all I have to do is enable AUX and that will fix my problem?. And how much is that nois isolator?

    1. NO
    2. NO
    3. Nothing we can offer.

...would it be very sad if i said so?

But really, for now, that's reality.

Nevertheless, 2G MMI model line is expected by coming May. Once the mainboard is done, almost every model can be adapted. This means that there will be at least 7" 2G MMI model for UK sometime before this summer.

Also, we are considering to offer 10.25" for RHD world, but chance is still too low. May be at least i will try to get some drawing so that handy people do it themselves using 3d printer and stuff.

So this is it. Let's see what we can do.
