It's a pretty simple task so I'm not going to spend too much time on this but if you have any questions feel free to PM me or reply to the thread. (Sorry a couple pictures may be a bit blurry because I took them at night in my garage)
Tools Required:
Pry Tools
Phillips Screwdriver
Allen Key
Basically, what you need to know is this piece is held on by about 11 clips and 2 screws. You can start by de-attaching the cable for the emergency release latch. The green cover just pops off. You can see the metal ball holds the cable in place, just maneuver it out and then the handle just pulls out of its socket. This gives you access to 1 of the 2 phillips crews holding the panel in. The only reason mine is all scratched up is I was unaware of this process (could not find a DIY) so I removed the phillips screw without removing the handle first. Don't do what I did. Follow the new helpful guide

The second screw is located on the right side of the trunk lid. Here is the location:

Remove these from both sides. You can fit an allen key inside the rubber bump stops and unthread them (sorry I can't remember the size off the top of my head). The plastic piece just pries off.

Now that is done, you can pry the clips. I bought a set of plastic automotive pry tools from Canadian Tire for about $15. They worked fantastic, I've been using them for my dynamat project and removed every piece of trunk and rear deck trim without breaking anything. The key here is to just take your time. Once you get a couple you will likely be able to get some fingers under the trim and pull them out by hand (this is what I did).

If you are dynamatting your trunk lid, you will likely want to remove all the clips holding the wiring down. Be warned, these clips are ****y! They just did not want to come out. However, here is a trick I came up with and it made the removal of the clips very quick and efficient. Use a ty-wrap (zip-tie, zap-strap, or whatever other nickname you may have heard) and loop it through the hole of the clip. You now have a handle to wiggle and pull the clips out. They take quite a bit of force and side to side wiggling. I was not able to get them using my pry tools or a small flathead.
VERY IMPORTANT: TAKE PICTURES OF WHERE THE HOLES FOR THESE CLIPS ARE. YOU WILL HAVE TO POKE HOLES IN THE DYNAMAT AFTER ITS INSTALLED TO PUT THE CLIPS BACK IN. THIS WILL BE NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT PICTURES...Or reference mine if they are clear enough I guess lol

After the clips are removed, I disconnected the wires from whatever they were going to just to get them out of the way. You can figure this out pretty easy, just a standard connector to unplug. This is not a DIY on how to install dynamat, however if you have any questions feel free to ask. There are countless videos and info on the process of installing the product all over the internet. Here are some pictures of the install:

I've taken lots of info from this site over the years so I felt like it was time to give back a bit, I hope this can help some of you as I wish this existed when I was figuring it out. Feel free to ask any questions!
