    RS4 Grille on B7 S4 + JHM 91 Suggestions

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am a brand new owner to an awesome B7 S4 and I'm looking to get into the tasteful mod world...

I'd like to swap my S4 Grill and foglights casing for the RS4. Does anyone have some good recommendations on where to buy them? I looked at ECS, but it's over $1000 to do that and I'm not sure that I want to spend that just yet. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...853651afvmzkt/
I'm also looking at doing some performance mods, but not go overboard. I read the sticky about being a new B7 S4 owner and what sort of upgrades you can do, but price was never mentioned. I live in Seattle, WA and we only get 92 octane up here, so a 93 tune seems like a waste as it'll have poor performance on our accessible fuel. Does anyone have experience with a 91 JHM tune? I wanted to know what the cost would be and if I have to modify the exhaust as well. I'm not looking at forking out money hand over foot, so do take that in mind.

It's currently all stock. Here's my starting point! Let the suggestions rain.

You won’t be able to find an RS4 grill for less than ECS unless someone is selling used. They simply aren’t manufactured. Also, the fog grills are a no go.

What's the reason that the fog grilles are a no go? They come in that ECS kit.

Different front bumper in the RS4. They won’t even fit the DTM bumper which is similar to the RS4

Gotcha. Will the grille itself just fall into place then?

The RS4/S4S-Line grills are all common sized. They’ll fit across all the above. I have an OEM RS4 grill in my S-Line.

I know LLTEK sells them. Still not cheap. Last I checked the grille was ~$700

On a side note, if u find someone selling them cheaper, let us know. I know there's a huge market for those rs4 grilles except nobody sells em for some reason

I don’t believe they do. Cabs are like that weird aunt that always makes family holidays awkward.

I was considering the rs4 grill route but as specified other than lltek there aren’t any options. I’ve seen rs4 grills pop up but usually around $400 also in order to do rs4 fogs you have to cut up two good sets of covers and fit the mesh into your s4 fog grills. I ended up going with the blackout s4 grill from ecs.

Just add some xylene or toulene to your fuel to achieve 93+ octane..

    Sure...
Toluene is 115 octAne and xylene is 118. Yes, toulene is used as the main ingredient in octAne boosters, but as far as I'm concerned, for as little as would be needed for a small bump on octane, xylene would be cheeper in the end. Both are $19 a gallon where I live.
