Applied new 3 patches from RSNAV and pushing iNav button on wheel shows "Not used button" in FIS and launches no app.
    Any help?

Waze available in Carplay. Along with Google Maps and Maps the options are huge.

(Anyone knows why "time" is ocasionally framed in red?)

Did you check button assignment setting in settings? Maybe it lost the assignment during the patch process?

Hi Shark. Can´t you download it from RSNAV web? One of the files is 1 Gb... besides, I´m having some problems since last update so you might want to wait for the next one. Daniel just told me he´s working on it.

    RSNAV Android System Software Updates

PLEASE IDENTIFY YOUR SERIAL NUMBER FIRST, IF YOUR SERIAL NO. CONTAINS NUMERICS 1806(means manufactured IN JUNE, 2018) OR UP IN THE SERIAL NUMBER YOU HAVE VERSION 2.0 OF THE MAIN BOARD. e.g. if your serial no. has 1710 in the digits like below picture, then your unit was made October 2017 and you have 'VERSION 1.0' of the mainboard.

DO NOT UPDATE WITH WRONG VERSION, RESOLUTION, WRONG REGION, WRONG LTE BAND FIRMWARE. IT WILL BREAK YOUR SYSTEM. CONTACT US IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT
VERSION AND RESOLUTION YOU HAVE OR WHAT REGION YOU ARE IN. THIS IS THE FIRST SOFTWARE TO UPDATE BEFORE ANY OTHER UPDATE. DO NOT PUT
UPDATE.ZIP, MCU_UPDATE, CAN_UPDATE FILES IN ONE SD CARD. DELETE ANY PREVIOUS FILE THAT YOU ARE DONE BEFORE YOU BEGIN ANY
    NEW PROCEDURE.
    Instruction

    1. Download firmware file from the link (do not unzip or rename the file).
    2. Copy update.zip to the root of TF(MicroSD) card.
    3. Insert TF(MicroSD) card to the slot of the device
    4. If MX Player launches, exit the program, push out the TF(MicroSD) card and insert it again.
    5. When Software update message is prompted, enter '888666' for the password.
    6. Do not interrupt until the device restarts automatically. Maintain electricity power by running your motor idle.
Do not operate the device or the vehicle. After a successful update, the device will boot up normally.
It may reboot 3 or 4 times while updating and it's normal. It may take up to 30 mins to update.

If SDcard is hard to reach
First, Put the update.zip file to the USB stick's root.
Second, Ignore the password window, then copy update.zip to the SD card using a file manager app.
Third, take out and plug in the USB again, then it will show the password window again, input the password 888666
Finally, take out the USB stick when the system reboots.

Click here to visit the software update page

    Hi Daniel,

I don’t see RSA-70XXX in the latest round of firmware. Only listed for RSA-10XXX, RSB-70XXX

    Can you please confirm?

Problem solved thanks to Daniel´s instructions. I had to:

    - Disconnect the kit (you just need to remove radio fuse which is the third one from the botton in the right column in the copilot compartment).
    - Apply new patch for Canbus software: "RSNAV ANDROID SYSTEM CAN BUS Updates(SECOND UDPATE TO DO)
UPDATE THIS SOFTWARE AGAIN IF YOU HAVE CANBUS RELATED ISSUES SUCH AS LOSING DYNAMIC PARKING GUIDELINE, OEM PARKING SENSOR MALFUNCTION IN RSNAV REAR CAMERA VIEW WITH PARKING SENSORS, OR THE SYSTEM DOES NOT GO OFF AUTOMATICALLY AFTER 10 MINUTES SINCE YOUR CAR IS LOCKED."

    Thanks Daniel!

    Hi Daniel
I have an audi a4 8.8" display version and I'm trying to do the update with the following file:
    RSA-12 10.25", RSA-8 8.8 inch, 1280x480 Resolution, Region Europe, Korea, Australia, HW VERSION 1.0: SW.VER-09181906
But after the input of the pin the system reboots and show the following screen:

    20180930_101013.jpg

And the the system is blocked.
The only thing I can do is to remove the key and wait for the system shutdown.
    Please can you help me?
    Thanks

    Sorry.
Please halt the update.zip method, unless you know how to use sp_flasher tool and clean firmware update.
I am now on a trip and will go back to my place this sunday. I am without my laptop and no one in the factory work either, so we will be able to fix this later this weekend.
    Thank you for your paitience.

    Hi Daniel

I want to go the sp_flasher tool root, but your "Download TOOLS" link on the Wiki doesn't work?

Can you please let me know what files are in that link or can someone please make them available that have it?

Edit : Ok I found it from an old download I did a couple of months ago when I tried to root the device...

But seems that the scatter file is also not valid when you download the recovery file, so don't even bother trying the sp_flash_tool way :(

When the devices are in this state, will it help or work to roll back to a previous version?

I have the previous version of the file for the 10.25" NA model. Will it help others if I am able to provide a link to it in the meantime?
I have both the August version for ver1.0 of the mainboard, and the earlier September release for the v2.0 mainboard.

So I decided to come back to all of this after a while and try out the latest updates. But right after I enter the update password and click "Yes" the device just boots into recovery mode.

I've tried leaving it therre for a few minutes but nothing happens. There's no way to control the recovery menu (it says to use volume up/down and power buttons, but I guess it doesn't mean the MMI buttons.) Turning the car off and on again, the device does boot back up normally, but there is no update happening.

I've tried downloading the file again, tried using an otherwise empty SD card, tried renaming Update.zip to update.zip, tried removing and reinserting the card while in the recovery menu, pretty much everything I can think of. Am I missing some intermediate updates, maybe?

This message pops up very briefly before the recovery menu shows:

Signature verification failure implies to me there is a problem with download file.

I would try downloading it again.

I had serious issues with my Concert/7" unit (lost wheel control and tablet stayed always on) after last update. Fortunately, Daniel uploaded an "emergency patch" which solved my problems.

I guess I'll wait a couple weeks or something. Since the update wouldn't start at least there's no damage to undo.

Incidentally, does anyone know if there's a way to control the recovery menu, i.e. a way to press the volume up/down and power buttons? Seems like it could come in handy.

    Hi Daniel

I updated to the new patch after it was fixed, but I noticed I'm still not able to enter a passkey when trying to connect to my bluetooth device?

"2018.08.06: add more OBD II BT device support(now user can enter passkey for BT device), Fixed Autoplay app stability, fixed intermittant blackout problem."

You demo this on youtube video as well?

Strange that your app menu and bluetooth menu looks newer then the one currently on my unit (after the update)

In the demo it shows pressing the plus sign before connecting to the device in order to enter the passkey, but menu doesnt look the same and there's no plus key...

Can you please advise, this is the function I wait for pain painstakingly every time. And its such a disappointment after you wait for months to not be able to benefit from an update...

    Is yours screen 7 inch?

The “+” button is different for our 7” model. At the top-right corner, click on the classic 3-dots to activate BT pin screen.

Yes I have the 7", thanks soundwave. I tried that and its still not working.

Daniel, I'm trying to connect a iMars BT-005 media remote to the unit

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/iMarsTM-Blu.../dp/B01N3LA7Q8

So I got pass the bluetooth pin, as soundwave pointed out. Entered no pin but its not pairing, if you pair it to any phone it connects instantly with no pin.

The flexibility of having the remote able to connecting to the RSNAV brings up so many possibilities. Problem is not all of us have the steering wheel with the additional steering buttons (B8.5 etc) as well as the MMI 3G units.

There is no way to skip forward and back on media players like PlayerPro or Poweramp, not even with the scroll function.

The media remote can be used for that and even be remapped to other functions in the car like quick launch of apps or what ever your imagination can think of...

By using the Multilanguage Keymap Redefiner you can map anything to anything. The only limit is how many buttons you have https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...finer&hl=en_ZA

Thats the main reason for having an additional bluetooth keyboard/media input to have that flexibility.

I will even purchase one for you guys if you can make it work, because it doesn't seem to work with this method of pairing currently on the RSNAV unit.

Well we activated BT serial protocole but not HID(human input device) protocole and that's the reason why it's not pairing.

We can buy that remote and can try to have it work with it over HID protocole.

The reason supporting each bt stuff is painstaking like this is that normal android BT library does not support audi sink(receiving audio) and call control (HFP) so we have to make everything from scratch.

I understand Daniel, just trying to show the benefit of doing this. As a lot of people can use this, it will be really difficult to work on all profiles I totally agree.

You mentioned before that you can get more buttons to work with the MMI 3G units but its going to be difficult to do this with the old pre-face lift models because of all the profiles. This is a perfect solution for this, and the remote is really not expensive and can be sold as a bundle in the long run with your units.

    Audi/Android Interface Units

I had the latest Sept version updated and the center speaker connected (since Day 1).

The volume control is a disaster! Perhaps it’s Android’s default, but it’s very broken. The steering wheel volume roller controls the system volume, alarm, ringer and call volume, depending what’s active. I almost died of shock when the Google Maps voice spoke for the first time. Why?? That’s because I used to set the volume at max for all in Volume Adjust apk. And Android seems to adjust alarm volume by default?!

Tried to fiddle around without success and fired up Google to look for workarounds. In the meantime I’ve installed this app “Volume Control - Vollynx). It helps to lock the alarm volume, call volume, ringer volume at lowest setting. This help me save my ears.

Has anyone ever returned a unit to the factory in China?

Mine has been sitting on "Customs" in GUANGZHOU since the 21st September ...
