Miltek is better known for the cat back exhaust rather than the downpipe and cat

Most test pipes are about equal. For the most part, just an empty tube. I went with CTS Turbo's pipe. The price was right for an empty tube. I considered JHM's test pipe but had a hard time with paying 300 bucks for an empty tube even though their openings are larger and the incorporated rear O2 spacer is nice.

If I decided on a HFC instead of a test pipe it would have been JHM's for the reasons listed above. Those features with a cat element for what they're asking for them is more in line with what I'm comfortable paying. JHM's HFC looks the best on paper and probably lives up to it too.

The downpipe section of the exhaust is separate from the cat. You don't HAVE to replace it when you add a HFC. I wouldn't buy just the downpipe alone. Replace the cat only and get the downpipe if or when you decide to replace the whole cat back. The downpipe is usually included with a cat back exhaust for a manual transmission anyway. If you have an auto, I'm not sure what you'll do about a larger downpipe.

My car is auto, TT downpipe is just 260 unlike JHM y-downpipe for 500$

I like my 034. I have been reliably informed that the flanges on the JHM can be uneven and lead to small exhaust leaks. Plus, that 02 sensor bung on the JHM is a red flag during a visual emissions inspection. The 034 looks more stock and raises fewer questions.

HFC and TP may be 3inches wide but the connectors are shrunken to fit stock oem exhaust. When you asked them they probably thought you meant a true 3inch HFC in which will be bigger than their 2.5.

Remember stock B7 exhaust is 2.25 by the downpipe.
