    Audi Corrosion warranty

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I noticed some bubbling under the door blade on my front passenger door. Car is a 2008. Supposedly Audi offers a 12 year corrosion warranty on body parts. Has anyone actually tried to get Audi to cover this? If so, were you successful and what method(s) did you use?

First time I have had to deal with this. Thanks.

Just give a search, lots of threads covering the topic. It's not a "corrosion warranty", it's a perforation warrantee. My experience is that what you pictured would not qualify, it essentially needs to be a hole. I have had a few panels replaced on my B6 under warrantee, with a few areas that looked worse then that that they wouldn't cover at the same time.
I would suggest removing the 2 screws on the bottom side of the door and sliding the door blades out a couple times a year to wash them out to prevent what you pictured.

Thanks. The search feature on the tapatalk app sucks. Will take a look when I can get on a computer.

My luck has been similar. VW would cover this, but not Audi!
Current: 2016 Audi A4 Allroad (in progress)
    Past: 2005 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro Avant / 6-speed / Ultrasport - SOLD

I had issues with my VW and my Audi. They did'nt want to fix front fenders but they respray the rear panels and changed my tailgate. But after two years, it's all stating to bubble again, and it is warranty only for the first time as they mentioned. I will have an Audi again (call me masochist) but the next one i will rust proof it even if i loose the warranty. I'm sure i will have less problems and more value for the car.

I scheduled an appointment to have my local dealer look at it. What's the worst they can say? In the mean time I pulled off the door blades which are definitely the culprit. A bunch of crap in there which just traps moisture. Wish I would have known about this issue when I bought the car 2 years ago. I don't know if removing them and cleaning them out twice a year would have made a difference but it couldn't have hurt. Car was in Ohio and PA before I owned it so that's where the bulk of the issues lie.

I'm currently trying to have them cover a similar rusted area.
They have initially denied it based on it not being a hole.
I'll pull of the blades and see.

I have a similar issue on the driver side, but currently the rust does not show. The paint is bubbled up and it is spreading slowly . If Audi denies this type of claim, is there anything we can do DIY style?

Their warranty means nothing. I've tried many times over the last few years, with 2 B7s. Sometimes they say a bubble of rust is covered, sometimes they say there needs to be a hole... wtf audi?

I've also seen an audi document stating after 7 years you must pay 30%, the guy wouldn't let me make a copy of that document.

I guess we shouldn't be buying new audis then. I'd rather buy a bmw. My brother had a very small bubble of rust on his 06 bmw door and they replaced the entire dam door for free in less than a week. Now that's service, go learn something audi.

This shit really pisses me off and canada has the worst roads in winter, so much dam salt.

If I could meet the CEO of audi, I'd smack him one good one.

Pulled off both driver side blades.
Rear seems fine, no rust or anything.
    Front is a different story.
Rust is not through, but I'll get this fixed so it doesn't spread.
