Hi all, looking at Konig Freeform Radium Bronze 19x9.5 +40 offset.

Will these fit on B9.5 S4 with 100% no rubbing? Looking for square setup using 255/35. No plans to drop now but maybe in a couple of years.

Brand might be out off place here but just looking for flow formed rims that's not super expensive.

Zero chance for rub Really good specs for stock height too. Just have Konig confirm front caliper clearance.

Thanks Mops! It looks like they won't clear the front calipers as per Konig. The search continues.

How does the 19x9.5 ET40 look on stock height? Any pictures for reference?

I've been checking out the VMR website. Really liking them. Especially I could get them in gold/bronze color. Wanted to have some contrast on my quantum grey. Where can I find a list of their wheel specs like sizes/weight/bore/offset?

Those are nice BC Forged rims! Looks good even on stock height.

Any pictures on et45 if ever? Seems most of what I see online are et45 on 9.5 width.

You have all the answers Mops! Thanks!

ET45 will push the rims in closer to the struts. Any issues with rubbing and will it work with 265/35 tires?

Plan to use my OEM 255/35 summers for now but will replace it with 265/35 when worn out.

    I do my best.

No issues at all with 9.5 et45 and 265/35. We done it before and I ran 9.5 et40 on 265 and had a ton of room to spare on the suspension side.

Hello all. I'm seeking for some help on wheel fitments. I'm debating on 19s or 20s, but dont feel like having issues with rubbing or what not. I want to go with stance sf07 19x9.5 but not sure if it will fit. Any help will greatly appreciate

Yes, I went with the indy500 in 255/35/19. They are so much more quiet then the OEM tires but the sidewall are softer. I'm guessing that going from a "stretched" tire to a more square one that doesn't require 40+ psi doesn't help either for the softness feeling. The grip seems good once the tire is seated and the noise level is lovely

Your oe tires are 255/35? Thought they were 245/35, mine are at least. 245/35 on 9.5 would be beyond recommended stretch.

Your bigger issue is wether the wheels will clear the front brakes. I bought the correct offset and size, but they wouldn’t clear even with a 10mm spacer.

Stick to the wheels in this thread or confirm with the manufacturer before buying.

Glad to know it's been done before and no issues.

I'm considering VMR V801 & V803 and Forgestar F14 & CF5V deep concave profile. Will these clear the calipers at 19x9.5 ET40? Seems I can get these all in ET40.

Confirmed mine comes with 255/35 summers as OE tires. Don't know the brand yet as I'm taking delivery in a couple of days.

Maybe they changed it on the 2020 models? Or maybe it's a Canadian OE spec? Even the base Progressive S4 with upgraded 19's come with 255/35. At least that's what the online configuration says.

Ah yes, you are correct. 255/35 for the 5y torsio wheels (US also). Also 245/40 and 245/35 for the other two wheel options.

Where ya at in Canada? I’m originally from Quinte Bay Area in ON. Tempted to move back north, but doubt my lady could handle the cold.

Why do I find myself looking at wheels every time I drink alone. Still haven’t seen a DG S4 with BCF RZ21 in brushed bronze... maybe it’s time.

I'm in Mississauga, ON. You should be very familiar with Sandbanks of you're from Quinte Bay area. Nice place to go to.

Wifey used to the cold now and lots of fun activities in the winter.😄

Do it! I like bronze/gold wheels on gray. Not everyone likes it.

I had red rims on gray before. Our current Q5 has bronze/black dark tint on black.

Never liked the plain black/silver rims. To each his own I guess.

Sandbanks is a nice place indeed.

Lived in the states most my life... PA, now VA. All my extended family lives in Canada still, and my rents moved back up there years back. Miss going up there in the summers for the cottage/lake life - endless dirt biking, water sports, and camp fires.

So tempted. Plan was to get some apr wheels in silver (primarily due to a slick deal through a friend, still waiting). Run those with as3+ in winter. Sell stock rotors.

Then get 19x9 et36 RZ21 in bronze. Maybe even run staggered profiles, get some good concavity in the rear!

Kinda paranoid about dropping 3k+ on wheels though. One nick and my attitude would quickly become... “throw em in the trash!”

Good day gentlemen, anyone here ever heard o Euro Design by YKW Wheels? YKW Wheels seem to be a distributor company sourcing wheels from factories in Thailand and Malaysia. Recently acquired a used 2018 B9 S4 and is looking at options for a winter setup.

I say just keep the stock for winter and go get the BCFs!

I hear ya man, I was thinking of BC Forged as well but even without curbing the rims, I know it'll still get nicked from daily driving. Really hurts to see that, if I dropped that much for rims.

So I finally took delivery of my S4. Now I'm really on the fence on which wheels to get as I will be using my stock 19's for winter.

I'm thinking maybe stay with 9 inch rims to get more side wall / rim protection using OE 255/35. But I don't know if 265 will look good on 9 inch rims when it's time to replace. I like more meaty tire look.

I was considering VMR but they only come in 8.5 and 9.5. decisions decisions....

Took me a minute. You are swapping the stock tires to the new rims I take it? Personally I’d buy the rims and tires you plan on running for the nice summer set, don’t let the one set of oe tires adjust that. Sell the oe tires. Probably better off running the oe 255’s on 9.5 rim and going 265 tire later, than the other way around. Your sidewall height would still be equivalent to my stock 245/35 on 8.5 with a slightly stretched 255.

In regard to 265/35 on 9. Guess it depends on the tire somewhat too. Haven’t seen many 265 on 9 in this thread, but 255 on 8.5 isn’t uncommon. Will stand your sidewall up a bit, which looks fine IMO with 255 on 8.5. Not sure if the larger sidewall from a 265 combined with a step down in rim width will be too much though.

    Pics of the fresh S4?

Side note, can speed calibration be adjusted with vcds to compensate for these effective circumference changes?

*edit... cut out my late night rambling.

Yup I'm swapping the stock tires on the new rims. I thought about selling the OE tires but not sure how much I'm going get for it so planning to just keep and use it. Will the ride quality be compromised with a stretched 255 on 9.5?

Car is still in the shop for ceramic coating. Dropped it off the same day I picked the car. Will share pics when I get it back tomorrow 🙂. I miss the car already... Lol

As for calibration, my understanding is if you're around 1% difference in circumference changes, then shouldn't matter isn't it?

    Lol! What late night rambling?

Guessing you’ll get at least half the oe tire price back out of them. Common enough size to reasonably find a buyer.

Personally, I plan on running 255 anyways, even if I got custom wheels. 265 adds around 3 lbs from 255, not sure if most tires see that increase (I was comparing as3+ weights). Significant considering its full distance from the rotation axis. Get light rims to save about 7lbs, then seems counter productive to add 3lbs back while only gaining 1cm width. Others are likely to disagree. I too like a meatier tire, the stock 245/35 tires on my ‘19 look thin to me.

For what I plan on doing, change in circumference is minimal. More than 3% I’d be more inclined to figure out how. Just wondering if anyone had found the setting. I have access to latest vcds, might just adjust to have it exact anyways.

My previous post was a bit longer before cutting... have the tendency to go on too much detail and mildly off topic when I’m bored and on this forum.

Finally here she is. Crappy picture. Wife took the picture as I've been asking her to drive it around first to break-in. I'll have to get better shots when the weather is better. Just tints and ceramic coating so far.

    OEM 10 V-Spoke rims
    19x8.5 ET40
    255/35 ContiSportContact 5P

    1598565280622.jpeg

So I've scoured through this thread and except for winter set-ups, a track set and a BBS rim in 18's, it seems no one else is running 18"s as summer/all season setup. Is it because of aesthetics or fit? Preference maybe?

For my Summer/All-season set, here's what I'm thinking:

    1. 18x9.5 rims on 265/40 (or crazy 295/35?)
    2. 18x9 rims on 255/40
    Probably will go with DWS06.

Would ET40 or 35 work with no rubbing in both configuration?

    For my winter set-up:

    1. 18x8 rims on 225/45 (can't find load rating of 96 and up yet in this size)
    2. 18x8 rims on 235/45
    3. 18x8.5 rims on 245/40
Will probably go with Conti Viking 7.

What would be a good offset in these configurations?

Aesthetically 18” is a small rim on this car IMO. What’s the main motivation to run 18” year round?

    Here's another shot from yesterday.

    1598565281886.jpeg

    Motivation for going 18"s
    - I like the chunky tire look
    - more sidewall means better protection for rims and probably a smoother ride
    - maybe more tire and rim choices that will not rub
    - potentially less unsprung weight depending of rim/tire combination

I know looks are subjective but with the right offset and rim, I think it will still look good. That's why I wanted to ask if anyone has any pictures for reference as well.

    I think some S4's have OEM 18's.

I hear ya on the meatier tires, I was never a fan of super thin. Definitely understand wanting to run 18” with a big sidewall up there in Canada during the winter! Was surprised ya wanted 18” for summer tho... to each their own, and roads probably aren’t great in general given the harsh winters.

I haven’t seen many folks posting 18” in the numerous times I’ve scanned this thread. Hopefully a few folks can chime in with some photos! Wonder if 18” is hard to find wheels that work given the big front calipers - I’m intrigued.

Thanks Ben. I was going to do satin black like we talked about, but then I picked up those satin black CH-R’s so I figure I’d go little darker gunmetal. Now I need to get some black center caps and I’ll be set.
