+1, & as the saying goes: “U get what U pay for”. Having a love affair w/cars AWA washing & waxing cars since I was old enough not to totally screw up the car’s paint, one thing has always been true, U get what U pay for. Products R generally not more expensive just for added profit, it is in large part d/t R&D spent on making it a noticeably better product than the “average” product available @most larger retail & big box stores. I am south of U by ~ 6 hrs so I don’t C the same amount of snow/bitter cold but I also have a Panther Black car so I completely understand your desire to keep it clean. Stick w/the 2 products previously mentioned & get a leaf blower as @pdqgp suggested. If nothing is touching or being drug over the paint, it can’t be scratched. This assumes U don’t drop or drag the blower “hose” over or around a painted area of the car, which is Y I prefer the “backpack” style blower. Look @the videos by Detailers Domain, thorough, informative & spot on,+ excellent site sponsor, teir 1 vendor, customer service. NOT affiliated in any way but exceptional vendor in every way. If U choose to go another route, I would suggest a trip to YouTube & look up some car detailing videos for ideas & products U may not have been aware of. PM if U want more info, good luck to U from the Southern tip of Illinois.
