Changing Speedo stencil from KM to Miles - VAG-COM Coding

    Hello guys,

How can I change the coding in the Instrument cluster so the speedometer needle is calibrated for USA Scale? I did a search but I wasn't able to find the information.

I would like to change my speedo to show miles as the car will be driven mostly in USA for the next while.. Currently the dash installed in the car is a Canadian dash. The speedo scale is graduated in km and does not have miles at all. I was thinking that I will just change the graduated stencil inside my cluster and be done with it. Upon closer inspection I realized that the cluster speedo will need to be coded differently in order for the needle to show correctly.

On the Canadian scale, 100km/h is almost vertical. On the USA scale, vertical is about 140 km/h. There is clearly a change needed.
The USA scale is consistent. 20ish degree movement = 20ish miles.
The Canadian scale changes half way through. 20ish degree movement of the needle on the left side is about 20 km . 20ish degree movement on the right side is 40ish km.

Choose the secondary speedometer to miles. You'll have both already calibrated to your car. Its a nice visual upgrade too.

You can also find them on facebook for more images.

Thank you for your input. Ideally I would like to recode the Instument cluster and use a stock stencil

Update for people that are trying to solve a similar problem in the future:
After doing more research it seems like the needle scaling cannot be done using a VAG-COM.
First option: The guys at speedosolutions.com are capable of doing it.
Second option: gauged.ca stensil is also a viable solution. It doesn't change how the speedometer stepper motor is driven but the needle will point to the correct speed.

Here's the one Ed from Gauged made for my B6, its a cluster face with the proper red line for an A4 but the speedometer of an S4 since I run a B6 S4 cluster in my A4.
