I'm pretty sure AFS only comes with Prestige trim.

I was thinking the same thing, and am going to say no.
AFS headlights are normally listed on the right side with the package options.

AFS is Prestige only and they only work in the “auto” position.

I assumed my Premium Plus had AFS but was disappointed that it didn't. Strange that my $20k Golf had AFS but not my $45k Q5...

just by looking at it i can tell you it is non-afs. the AFS models have an additional bulb and section in the light for the "cornering" light which is different than AFS.

I know it is a quite old one... and question is slightly off topic - but could one modify or retrofit AFS headlight into non-AFS equipped one?
The car in question is 2015 Q5 Premium Plus (2.0).

Not easily or cheaply. You need a set of the AFS lights, any required modules and wiring, and then the car would need to be coded properly to allow for the function of them. I think it has been done but honestly it's probably not worth the cost or trouble. You could pay Lightwerkz or someone other retrofitter to upgrade your existing lights for probably less and get much better output with a new projector.
