best place for audi parts purchases?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am looking for the lowested priced OEM parts that I can get. I've worked for a domestic auto dealership in the past and I know their markup on parts is huge, imports included. I do my own low-skill maintenance on 2 audis that we own, so I buy a lot of parts. I want OEM parts only and I am not interested in places like autozone/advanced auto/oreilly etc.

    audipartsusa.com:
so far, this is the lowest I've found. I've used it before, they are legit and reliable.

    Au Claire Audi, W:
    about 10% more than audiusaparts.com

    Genuineaudiparts.com :
never tried it, but parts are the lowest

local audi (there are a couple):
    15% higher than audiusaparts.com

Any one know of another place that is reliable and cheaper? Can anyone confirm ordering successfully from genuineaudiparts.com?

I've ordered from Genuineaudiparts several times in the past and had no problems at all.

+1 for them for non-Audi brands, just got Akebono pads from them and they were $ 20- 25 cheaper than some unnamed popular vendors.

I use to use gap, then switched to AudiUSAparts.com. Since they are not in the same state I saved on tax and found that their shipping rates were better and faster. .

your local audi dealer should match prices from GAP. tell them the parts at gap come from audi of miramar in SD they should match them and then u wont have to pay shipping like you would at GAP, just tax and youll get parts faster.

Shop on a VW website for engine-related bits, the Touareg using our 3.0T engine (hybrid model) was a blessing in disguise for discounted parts vs using an Audi website

Genuineaudiparts is the online parts sales for Audi San Diego. Sadly even if you're local there is no will call so you have to wait for it to be shipped along with paying for shipping. Otherwise it would rock.

You should also try audiusaoemparts.com If your order is $75 or more, you get free shipping

Audiusaparts.com is also another alternative, for smaller orders they are able to ship via USPS Priority Mail

There used to be a time when audiusaparts.com used to provide a decent level of support over the phone (Jeff and Romney). It looks like they've been long gone, and only reply to emails. Its $30 for a 15 minute talk with an Audi-technician over the phone. Yikes

Don’t forget to check out fcpeuro.com may not be cheaper, but u only need to buy it once from there. If it needs to be replaced they will do it. U can even return used oil. Their warranty policies are top notch

A lot of aftermarket sites also have Genuine OEM stuff. I just got the PCV and thermostat from ECS and it was the genuine VAG part, and the PCV was even on 20% off sale

I only order OEM parts from Audi Henderson. They always have the cheapest price on new OEM parts. They also don't charge taxes either.

Pretty sure that's illegal and not possible tax is unavoidable unless you have a tax exemption.

For the longest time, tax was not required to be collected if items were shipped out of state. Now some states are catching up but only going after the larger e-commerce players. I’m sure this dealer is small enough to fly under the radar

This is correct. I used to live in Chicago and was never taxed on anything purchased online, which was great. This included eBay and other online sites. I now live in California and everything comes with a tax, as far as I know it’s a state to state requirement. I could be wrong but I heard that Chicago (Illinois) is doing the same now(?)... If I’m wrong and Illinois does not, then I know if I make a purchase from there, I’ll be taxed regardless... just because I’m currently living in California.

I was told that the business must charge a tax since I’m in California, OR they will be the ones later stuck with paying the tax themselves.. I guess if they didn’t, this could eventually throw red flags as to why they’re not charging in the first place (as required). Either way, I was surprised when I made a purchase for the first time on eBay out here and was automatically taxed.

Yes, IL is the same and charges tax. Another possibility -- Some vendors could be pricing in tax into the offered price.
