Coilover install cost - Avg price?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    As the title states...

For those that have had coilovers installed professionally at a shop what prices are you seeing?

I was quoted $900 which seems REALLY high. Further, if anyone has a recommendation in the South Bay/SF area LMK.

    Thanks all.

800-900 is the norm in the bay area.

Edit...just noticed you said the bay area would work for you too.

My brother in law has a shop with a lift who did my install a few months ago and he said he would only charge 300 for the install. His shop is in Discovery Bay if you don't mind the drive...it's only 35 miles out of San Francisco. PM me privately if interested.

I haven't been quoted anything under $800 to install coilovers. Can't believe the prices some of you are getting these installed for. Going to try tackling it myself

I would't pay more then $400 if it doesn't include an alignment. It only takes maybe 2-3 hours.

I paid $500 for mine installed + alignment. Some shops were quoting me prices from $750-1200... The $1200 didn't even include an alignment either.. Hell no. Funny that shop went out of business a while back.

You are saying b16 with irc right? I got quoted PSS10 install for $400 and b16 irc install for $1000 in Orange County, California.

yup, not saying 4k is not outrageous but its def more than the average coil install. going by the 400 to 1k ratio, its not unheard of if they are charging like 900 for regular coils and 4k for b16 irc

Makes sense. Still $4k sounds scary.

    200 - 600 dollars.

at the upper end there should be a basic alignment included. at the lower end, all you're getting is suspension components removed and installed.

I know this is an old post but $300 CAD is awesome. I just purchased a Utopia Blue 2016 A4 Allroad Technik with only 43k kms on the clock. Looks and drives like it's brand new! I'm thinking of installing Bilstein B16 PSS10 Coilovers and BBS CH-R 20"x10.5" ET25 5x112 Satin Titanium with Polished Rim. I'm so new to the game I'll need to do some serious digging to find out where to get the work done. I'm actually located in Montreal but would still love to have the name and address of the shop that did your work for $300. Any help would be awesome. Thank you my fellow Canadian.

Thanks - I’ll dig in and see if I can find a good shop in MTL to do the work. The good thing is I have until spring to do the research!
