ESM or STR are your best bet. You may need to call them for offset and lug pattern. In 20's I think they were all BMW or Allroad figments. I looked into them before I got my AG's.

Beware of shitty quality LM reps, hit the wrong pothole and that wheel will end up costing you way more than the price of real LMs.

Real 20" LMs are $6k before rubber. You sure about that? Literally 6x the price.

Are all reps junk? Serious question

I have a buddy who ran LM reps on his E30 BMW for 5 years no problem. I think any cast wheel with a lip has its limitations, though. I'm sure if I hit my AG's just right they'd explode, too, but not many people would say they're a crap wheel.

A company called Varrstoen makes a great set of LM reps called ES1. A lot of guys used them back in my BMW days. However, I don't think they make them in 20" :(

LM reps normally have brake clearance issues and the quality of the wheel and finish is not the best.

They are definitely 6k for 20"...

I literally have zero interest in real LMs.. I've got a car that's worth about 25k. Don't need/want 7k in wheels and tires.. Call me ghetto all you want - literally zero fucks.

Some are better than others...ESM and Varrstoen makes some of the better ones on the market..and closest in design to the real LMs.

Do a search online...there will be haters all around...there was a great article on Jalopnik discussing this very question.

Of course in the end you get what you pay for. You will need to drive more carefully...most might not withstand the same abuse as others...also (and this goes for any wheel from any company or material) the bigger the wheel and the less rubber to protect it -
...but at the same time there are some great racers out there that race/track only on replicas search YouTube

I was considering an ESM LM in 19 for some time and done a lot of research. And in the end it comes down to how you drive and where you live (what is the road conditions in your area)...as written above BMW guys have driven on these for a long time...there is a lot of threads of people arguing both sides

ESM, Varrstoen and some others have been around for a long time...it is in their best interest to not produce junk...not all replicas are equal esp. those on eBay...just like not all cast wheels or forged wheels are the same...
I am not pushing you to get ESM wheels or any other replicas...only to do your search and read that article and make the decision for yourself...

you will see pictures of cracked wheels all over... I remember in early to MID 2000 seeing cracked forged wheels all over this site also and calling those on replicas fakers etc...but in the end its about what your comfort level is and how deep are your pockets. Many of us want to express our love for this addiction and cant justify a forged Rotiform or HRE etc set so they go for the replicas or cast wheels. Just like it goes for any mod. Some get springs and don't even change the shocks while other get a $3K+ set of coilovers or air suspension...both want to achieve that perfect look. Is one worse than the other...it is all about what you are going for. As long as you understand the limitations of the parts you are buying then why hate - s/he knows s/he wont go throwing their car into turns around the track...

You can hit a pothole driving on forged $6K wheels and bend or damage that wheel(s) also...no guarantees...no one will give you a new wheel just because you paid $1500/wheel

    Just my 2cents

    2x
Its the design of this wheel and has nothing to do with who made it - As Chris@EPL said - its the design of the spokes and width of the lip and unless you are running a very wide wheel, this design will have limitations with brake clearance
The bigger the lip -> less room to clear anything behind it...brakes/suspension

So the solution is make the wheel wider as most want the big lip or the deep dish look...why we have been seeing so many 10 inch wide wheels from everyone across the board from Rotiform to ESM to everyone else

a forged wheel copied in cast will never be as strong as the original.

lol, not calling you ghetto at all. i give zero fucks what you do with your car! and i actually just bought some cheap-o wheels for the interim too. its kinda nice to know i wont care if something bad happens to them. some things in life are better off purchased cheap and replaced without hesitation, than spending money on the good stuff and cringing when they're no longer perfect.
