    Mystery Miracle Motor Snake Oil

    Hello Gents,
Very happy with this stuff I picked up AutoZone. Obviously not suspicious with anything that says miracle snake oil and it's good at everything, but this stuff is great.
Put some in the gas tank initially, Just to test it. Improved MPG and responsiveness. Next morning, I confidently put some into the engine( , yes, it says you can use it in your GAS TANK OR ENGINE ). Right away I have noticed an quieter cabin engine noise, less vibration at idle, Just like a brand new car(with now 56k Smiles😁). Then, cruising around Tahoe and back to Bay Area in 100deg whether, car fully loaded with 5 and cargo, was just flying smoothly, so fast and not feeling that power loss at higher RPMs due to heat I normally feel when on long hot road trips (but still need (for stage 2+) to jump on that Front Cold System whenever AWE has it).

S o I'm not sure what or how that Mystery Motor Oil does, but I love it. Only 5.99$!!! for a bottle.

    Cheers,
    And happy cruising,

    Bob

I used this back in the day in my 80q and it shut down the noisy lifter issue very quickly.

Kept using MMO and ran the car to 200k miles.

Maybe you put too much, 4oz should do. I put some in the engine at oilchange, to good results:smoother and livelier.

From what I have read 2 oz for every 5 gal is ok. So maybe I have an extra oz. Just got back from a 60 mi freeway run. Set cruise @ true 65 mph. 33.2 mpg. Not much higher than usual. Everything very smooth & quiet. Pretty much as usual. This is the only treatment that I know of as this a CPO car with 37k mi. I am satisfied. Nothing into oil.
Note. This is in my 2014 A4.

Putting this in the oil can't make things smoother and livelier. Impossible...possibly in the fuel. Ignition/ecu doesn't know and can't tell whats in the oil. Oil or oil additives can't make engine smoother . Can't happen.

Just put some in my '05 wrx - both oil and gas. Definitely smoothed the bugger out a bit. Happy with the improvement.

Put some in my Q5, haven't noticed much of a difference, maybe slightly better throttle response, but it was already running real smooth.

    Just watched this vid:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3F3jDa2xhg

Since it's only $3, I'll be putting it in my gas tank regularly. Can really see this saving a lot in terms of carbon buildup down the road.

How it does it, I don't know, it is a Mystery to me! But I definitely felt the difference right away... Indeed smoother, livelier and more responsive. When you punch it, it just bolts. Very Zippy again. The overall cabin feel changed, to quieter.

Apparently they were using this stuff in tanks, jets etc...
    And we won that war!

    IMHO,

    Cheers,
    Bob

Also a lot of higher mileage vehicles, when things become very shaky and noisy, use this as a quick fix.

Placebo effect. Good high quality synthetic oil of the recommended viscosity with approved detergent additives and viscosity improvers provides optimal protection and lubrication. High grade fuel of appropriate octane is what the engine is tuned for. What might have made engines in the '80's subjectively smoother or improved mileage in those days has absolutely nothing to do with the lubrication needs of the extremely tight tolerance high output engines of today or with the fuel needs of direct injection forced induction engines with sophisticated ECU control.

Nothing marvelous or mysterious about it. Every company has to publish a safety data sheet for products that might be harmful through exposure to skin or ingestion. It's easy to look up. Here is its actual content: up to 5% benzene, the rest is mineral oil and mineral spirits. Period. That's all. Picture is a screen shot from their published MSDS.

    Just placebo effect.

I enjoy reading magazine tests where products are tested in a controlled environment and results are measured with a dyno or some sort of metric. Admittedly magazines are not the most objective sources for this sort of information, particularly if they are testing products from advertisers. It is however better in my opinion than a completely data free, uncontrolled, subjective report from an individual. I recall an octane booster test that would be a good example.

I grabbed a bottle at Walmart, ran in my B5 and I'm stoked. Smoother idle for sure. Nothing noticeable in the q5, but it's still so new and young. B5 is 20yrs old w/ 190k. Decent $3 experiment.
