It sucked! Haha the power plant was atrocious. Very jerky tranny. 329 HP? Felt extremely slow. Interior quality was lacking in comparison to our A6/A7. The only nice thing was the dual command screens which blows away all other brands infotainment. Handling was not that great and the ride was soft but not plush if that makes sense. I drove it to see if I wanted to switch brands before upgrading from my A7 to an S7 needless to say I will likely go with an S7 still. Not sure if I want to entertain the 6 series gran coupe.

I test drove a e43 Amy before getting my s6 a few weeks ago. I just couldn't do the twin turbo v6. It just didn't feel fun or exciting. The technology was awesome but the whole driving experience was lacking. Not to mention they didn't want to budge on the price, I'm glad I chose the s6.

Even more interesting that you drove the E43amg and it still didn't compare. It is such a total different driving experience. Glad you're liking your S6.

Before I bought my A8 I drove the BMW, also an S550 a 2015. The BMW was awful to see out the rear, tiny side view mirrors, great power plant. I am coming out of a 2013 E550, awesome power, poor handling, rock hard seats! I love my A8!
2014 Audi A8 , short wheel base 4.0L loaded with options, fantastic car. Verde Parallax 19" in gloss black, red calipers epoxy painted G2. Black on black. APR Stage one tune.

Test drove a C450 "not"AMG last year when I was trying to decide on a new daily driver. Nice little car. Significantly lighter than my C7 and a decent engine. Then I got in a C7, and despite the older platform and aging interior it felt like a league above which it is. The new E class interior certainly is a better more logical competition to the C7.

I also hate what MB is doing with the branding, at first the car debuts as C400, then C450 "not"AMG and now a C43 "not"AMG to make more inline with true AMG badging. I know BMW has bastardized their M franchise to death with M sport packages and what have you but at least it has been reasonably seamless. MB can't figure out what they want.
    Gone but never forgotten:
2017 Glacier White S7, prestige, Audi exclusive interior with chestnut brown leather and alabaster white stitching, Oak Sepia wood inlays, B+O system, blackout package, comfort seats, sports package.
    Full Neidfaktor custom leather interior.

Totally agree on their confusion in the line up. Now they've changed the S class to like a S460 S560 and some other BS. But to comment on the interior of the New E vs our C7's it's really not a step above IMO. The dual screens really are the only thing better. The leatherette on the dash and door handles felt super cheap. The doors didn't shut as solid and tight as our cars. Even the leather on the steering week felt cheap. The high gloss command layout is nice but it's really just covering up some cheap plastic..
