    RS7 Exhausts. Milltek vs Akra

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Obviously Akra is the more "Designer" based system...but at nearly 4x the price i can't see how it can be justified. They both sound great, retain the valve control, and looks really doesn't matter much IMO as the stock tips are retained for both.

Thoughts? Are the any other viable options for these cars other than these two?

Akra in my opinion is the crown jewel, the sound is oem no drone and factory location and mmi controlled flaps.

Nothing against milltek I just don't love that sound I think it is too much, but to each their own

I would have an awe over milek

    APR downpipes + Akrapovic

APR Downpipes + Milltek mid muffler and dual rear valvesonic mufflers - fairly quiet

APR Downpipes + Milltek dual rear valvesonic mufflers only LOUD from the outside, no drone inside.

    Milltek Non-Resonated Exhaust, stock downpipes

APR Downpipes with AWE Tuning Touring Edition - Sorry RS7 guys :(

In a nutshell, I like the AWE Touring the best especially when paired with downpipes. Too bad they don't make the AWE System for the RS7, the RS7 doesn't typically every experience drone either with any of these exhaust systems so I wouldn't be too worried.

I've had the Akra on my last 3 cars (2 x M6s and my current RS7) and it was a no-brainer every time I spec'd the next car. On my M6 (see YouTube channel of same name) it had very little to work with since the S63TU engines are turbo'd to death but it managed to create the most divine sound. On the RS7, it's wayyyyy more raucous; just farts and pops and back-splutters galore--love it. By the way, it never, ever, ever... ever drones.

And with the Titanium edition RS7, I consider it "free"--how'd you like them apples!

Well you can always leave downpipes stock, then install Miltek exhaust none resonated and later if you want some more power you can do custom ecu remap, and gains will be near 700hp and 900 nm of torque, if you add also downpipes then you can end with 750+ hp, but I don't recommend add downpipes as it will be very loud and you won't pass emission test co2

No worries I just posted my opinion, if you only have catback no need ecu remap, in case you add downpipes then ecu remap must be done:)
